We've been many times to WDW but never around Christmas. This year is our first time and we need help because I've never hopped around on the monorail and am unsure of the timelines and offerings of monorail holiday sightseeing. TIA for your help :)

Our MK park day is December Fri the 13th. Leaving after 6:15p Frozen castle lighting, before MVMCP starts.
Is the following plan workable? Anything else we can/should add or replace?
Also looking for snack suggestions at these 3 resorts.

6:30p Monorail Resort boat to visit holiday Polynesian (Chocolate bacon looks good! and we've never walked this resort)

7:30p Monorail to check out Tree and Carousel at Grand Floridian

8:30p Monorail back to Contemporary, eat late QS dinner at Contempo

9:45p Find seats to view MVMCP 10p Firework's from the 4th Floor seating area

10:35p Electric Water Pageant starts according to WDW site (we've never seen this either).
What's the best or soonest place to catch this after we watch FW's from Contemporary?

I would take the resort launch boat to the Poly to begin your resort tour! It would be faster than the Monorail to begin your jaunt!
Thank you! I didn't even realize that was an option. That's a fun experience, plus it mixes things up and saves time. Good one :D

The resort launches stop first at GF and then Poly on the way from MK. You can also see the fireworks pretty well from the GF boat dock right outside Gasperilla's. They pipe the music in...Gasperilla's is a 24-hour spot for snacks.

Hmmm... that's interesting. Maybe we'll do GF first from Resort Boat at 6:30 or last to view fireworks from there. Gasperilla and Contempo were the 2 QS's we decided between, both menus and resorts looked like fun options for the 4 of us.
And walk from Polynesian to Grand Floridian, weather permitting.
That's a great idea. Plus we can burn off the snacks we ate :D

Share what you end up deciding as far as order and snacks!

No matter what, you'll have so much fun! The Gingerbread House at the GF should be up by then, too!

Personally, I would start at the Contemporary so you don't have to wrangle with any form of transportation as the masses exit MK after the castle lighting. I would walk to CR, monorail to Poly, walk to GF and then watch the fireworks from the marina or boat dock from there. You can get dinner at any of the resort QS locations.

Here is the Electric Water Pageant schedule so you can catch it while you are on your resort tour: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/magic-kingdom/electrical-water-pageant#readMore

Watch the Pageant—then stay for the Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular—from viewing spots along the shore at these locations:

I will share :) We've always wanted to try resort hopping, now we finally fit in the time.
We appreciate all of this advice!

That sounds like a solid plan! Thanks for the expanded EWP route/times.
This community can be counted on to know a thing or two :D I'm revising our schedule with all of the suggestions and will share the results.
(In between getting my HS senior son ready for Marching Band Nationals championship today. They took 1st place last year, this year probably not but the show is absolutely stunning.)
It seems like GF the preferred spot for fireworks. Is that better than Contemporary?
