Need advice on when to go.

We have been to Disney in 1999 and 2000. At both times we were there during the middle two weeks in May. When we went, we found the weather to be a little too hot (we are from Wilmington, DE so anything above 60 degrees is outstanding weather). My question is, we are planning another Disney vacation for either February 1-11, 2002 or two weeks following the Easter crowds, so I would like to hear from peoples' personal exp. during these two times of the year. I know the crowds are "light" during these two times and I have read all the "official" weather charts during these two times of the year, but I prefer to hear from the people on the boards who have experienced the weather and crowds during these two times of the year.

My first visit to Orlando back in 93 was in February and, while the weekend of President's Day was busy, there were pretty light crowds most of the time and the weather was mainly bright and very pleasant. We had one day of rain in a fortnight and a couple of mornings (with 8am starts) when we were distinctly chilly.

Having just come back from a visit last week, the temperature was well up in the 80s and the humidity was starting to climb already. That is slightly high for the time of year, but gives you an idea of what it can be like around Easter.

I would definitely choose February if the heat really worries you.

Thank You Simon. The heat does not bother me until it gets around 80 degrees with high humidity. We like it around 65 degress. Fortnight huh!

When our son was little, we would always go in the middle of January. I think January is absolutely the best time to go to WDW. Weather is 65-70 degrees and NO CROWDS!! we never waited in line. If you really don't want it to be too warm, I would vote for February.
