Need Advice On Renting a Mini-Van for driving to FL

I had an incident with my own van, so now plan on renting one for our 2 weeks vacation to WDW. Anyone have any tips, who to go thru, who you TRUST, insurance- get or dont? HELP!!

If you have a Disney Visa card you can good rates with Allamo and double Disney Dollars from Allamo as well.

On the insurance question...check with your own insurance company first to see if everything would be covered in case of an accident. We have great coverage that includes renting cars, so we never get the insurance offered by the rental agents-even though they try to get you to by doubting your own coverage. Talk to your agent first. Watch for any codes when renting and make sure you get unlimited mileage. We have rented from Hertz and Thrifty and been very happy. I keep watching this link for discounts for a car this summer.

Don't forget to check your credit cards for insurance, too. A lot of the companies offer rental car insurance on the card. You have to read the really fine print to find that but on some cards, its there. Also, be sure to let them know you will be taking the car out of state. There are sometimes extra fees involved in this, but if anything were to happen to you over state lines....Better safe than sorry.

Make sure the rental agreement specifically allows travel outside your state/region. They use GPS to track you and signficantly raise your rates if you leave the area.
