To keep it short, DH cannot do TOT because of the drops. We have not ridden ROTR or GOTG yet and I’m wondering about those rides for him. I’ve heard ROTR has a drop, and wondering about how “wild” Guardians is.
For comparison, he does like RNRC, Splash, Big Thunder.
Thanks for your help! I want to decide about these rides before I can make my LL’s.

ROTR is a very mini version of the TOT drop.

GOTG doesn't really have big drops. Its extremely smooth but you're doing a lot of turning around and looking at things so if he gets motion sickness this may not be the ride for him.

The drop in ROTR is minor compared to TOT, if he is remotely a star wars fan he would probably be able to deal with the minor drop (it’s right at the end).
If he likes RNRC, he will like guardians. It does have some spinning, but in comparison to something like Teacups it’s minor. My husband can’t do teacups, but can do guardians.

Funny, when we try to describe GOTG, we often say a cross between RnRC and Tea Cups!

OP - It's tough to say how you will like GOTG - it's a bit different. I can tell you my wife and I have enjoyed RnRC, BTM, Splash for years. I love GOTG and my wife will not ride it again because she got nauseous - mostly from the cars 'spinning' back and forth. But it's nothing like TOT - which, oddly, is one of my wife's favorites! Just different things that bother different people!

I think it depends on why DH cannot do the ToT drops. If it's just a matter of personal preference or fear of heights, I think he'll be fine on RotR. The drop is intended to be a sensation , not a thrill. There's no build up, you don't see it coming, and really don't even know that it happened apart from feeling it in your stomach. It exists to make it feel like you are flying out of the ship (which is what is happening on the projection in front of you). However, if there is a physical reason DH cannot do the ToT drops - back, muscle, etc. - then I would not recommend RotR.

As others have mentioned, the concern with GotG is entirely different. Trying to compare it to ToT is apples-to-oranges.

ROTR also has a literal "rise" in the middle of the ride, basically a quick sort of elevator ride up but it's a bigger lift than the drop at the end.

FWIW, Guardians has about the same launch speed as Aerosmith, but it starts backwards. After that it rotates you facing forwards but it continues to rotate back and forth and at one point does a full 360. Otherwise it's pretty tame, it mostly just depends on your capacity for dealing with that sort of motion.
