Need about 76 points for sept 2005

Hi,
I am at the moment considering renting some points for our stay in september, or maybe part of our stay.
I'm not really sure how to do this, so i was wondering if someone had 76 points avaliable, and how much they would cost?

I can't help with the points you need, but I can tell you that the 'average' cost to rent is around the $10 per point mark.

I did rent out some points last year and the process was pretty straightforward from one UK owner to another - I made the reservation on behalf of the renter and they sent me a cheque for the rent. I think the added complications of sending cross-currency payments to an owner in the US make a UK transaction more attractive if you can find a compatible match with someone with the points you need.

Obviously there is an element of trust involved as the owner could, theoretically, cancel the booking once they've received the payment but, hopefully, if you're dealing with someone from these boards whose name you're familiar with, the chances of that happening are slim

I might be able to help you out Stal, send me a PM with what you're looking at and I'll see if I can find the cheapest way to do it (points wise).

It does seem the price of points is rising a little, as Hilary said previously $10 per point was the standard price for deals, it appears now that is pretty much the low point of points with very occassional exceptions for "distressed points" where the owner has to use them in a very short period of time or they expire. It seems the majority of the deals are going through at $11-12 per point.
