I am trying to make my reservations and I am trying to find a table service restaurant for every day in a park. I don't have the park hopper. I was thinking about going to a character meal at Animal Kingdom but I don't want to really use all my TS on character meals. We are planning on going to Crystal Palace for a character breakfast and Liberty Tree for a character dinner.

My nephew really wants to go to Whispering Canyon and it really sounds like fun for him, but I was thinking it would be easier to go there on a lazy day or is it easier to get there from Animal Kingdom. This is my first time on Disney property or for that matter spending more than one day in Disney Parks. Last year we only spent one day at MK since I was on International Drive and going to Universal and SeaWorld.

Is it easier to get to Whispering Canyon from Animal Kingdom and how would I do it? I also need info on how to get to Whispering Canyon from Pop Century. Which park do I have to go to first to get a bus to Whispering Canyon.

Since I am asking questions about transportation, how can I get to Trail's End Restaurant from Pop Century? Which park do I have to go to first to get a bus to Trail's End? I plan on taking my soon to be 6 year old nephew there for the sing-a-long there.

Trying to plan my traveling ahead of time.
Any info will help. Thanks

To get to Whispering Canyon from Animal Kingdom, just take the Wilderness Lodge bus from AK. Whispering Canyon is in Wilderness Lodge. But WL is clear across the property from AK, so it might take a little while out of your day.

You could use your Table Service for breakfast at Donald's Breakfastasaurus, if you decide you want to do another character meal.

If you are not on the dining plan, you can go to Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom.

I would do Rainforest too ... but like already said, it's not on the dining plan. We have been to the Donald's b-fast, but like Chef Mickey's much better. As for getting to WL for Whispering Canyon ... another idea is to take the bus to MK, then ferry over to WL. Ferries come often and it's a nice ride. WL is the first stop. The campground is the 2nd stop, and Trail's End is there. Have fun.

In order to get to another resort from Pop you have to go one of the parks or DTD then switch to another bus. So it is easier to go to WL from AK then from Pop.
To get to Trail's End you have to take a bus to Fort Wilderness then take an internal bus to Trail's End.
Don't be surprised if your nephew likes the pool as much as the parks my niece and nephew (8 year old twins) love to spend an entire morning or afternoon there! Have fun!

Is Boma at AKL on the Dining Plan... if it is, that might be a good option for dinner.

Boma would be a good choice at the end of the day. will you have a car? Getting back fro AKL to Pop would take awhile.

herc.

Thanks for the suggest about Boma, but we're not really into that kind of food. My nephew is really picky and I am too. About how long would it take to get to AKL from Animal Kingdom? I don't know anything about Disney transportation.

Can I get a bus from AK to AK Lodge and then back to AK so I can get a bus to go back to Pop Century?

any additional info on traveling back and forth will help. I also need to know how to get from Pop Century to Whispering Canyon and the campground sing-a-long. I want to make a day out of that. How do I get to Fort Wilderness so we can go to the petting zoo and then to Trail's End for dinner and then to the campground to roast marshmallows and see a movie. My nephew will have the time of his life there.

Has anyone done the campground sing-a-long and movie? Is it worth the time to travel back and forth for it? Is there something else that a 6-year old would enjoy on a lazy day?

To go from Pop to WCC or To Fort Wilderness, take the bus from Pop to the MK. Then you can take the boat to WL for WCC or to FW. TO get back just reverse but be sure that your go back before MK has been closed for two hours or you will need to go to the TTC to get a bus back to Pop. We never use a car on site and have never had any trouble getting anywhere, it sometimes just takes a little bit of time. We also always know that if worse comes to worse we will just grab a taxi backk to the resort.

I would do dinner at Wispering Canyon. You will love and so will the kids. Just take the bus to Wilderness Lodge. then to get back to your resort, take the boat to the MK, walk to the resort busses. Mom to Jordan is right on getting from the resort to the Fort and back. It's always easier going from resort to park, to another resort. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Since you can't use the Rainforest cafe and you don't want the Carachter Breakfast, I would plan on eating in any resort dining you want to go to. Whispering Canyons is as good as any other. Take the bus from the Animal Kingdom to that resort, just make sure to give yourself 45 minutes to get to the bus and hotel except you may need a little longer than that if you leave right at closing or just after the parade.

After you have had dinner, take a bus to any open park and then get the Pop Century bus badk to the hotel. Ask your server, they will be able to tell you how to get to the open parks, from the Wilderness Lodge I would take the boat to the Magic Kingdom.
