Need a one night pre stay option

I've got a 3 br grand villa reservation at AKL at Thanksgiving (7 nights). There are 9 of us (7 adults 2 children). I need an option for late night arrival the day before our stay. Currently I have 3 rooms at the airport Hyatt ($650) I have to use Magical express. I'm willing to go on to WDW if a lot more economical that night and get a luggage move to AKL the next day. Not a big fan of all stars if you are thinking that's an option. What would you do?

A value at that time of year would be about $165 a room inc. tax so for three rooms not a hell of a lot cheaper but what you gain is the morning. You get up at the value, send off your bags with bell services and hit the parks.

I think you have a better price at that hotel than any deluxe or even moderate would cost at WDW the night before Thanksgiving. If you are a member you could call MS and see what rooms are available for cash discount, which is usually 25% off. Some of 2BRs sleep 9.

But a discount at Thanksgiving might not exist.

I'd either stay at the airport or at AKV if I were going to use ME. I would not go to a different hotel at Disney then change resorts. One could rent a car (or ? 2) and pay for a hotel off priceline or try to get a cash room for the 3 BR with a discount (though I'm not sure how often they do 3 BR on cash) or with points even as a private rental, I'm assuming you don't have the points to do this on your points. A couple of studios at AKV with a discount or a rental wouldn't be much more than the airport hotel.

For some, when DVC is booked 11 months out and flights are booked later, sometimes the day before is cheaper. We flew in late one time, stayed at the airport hotel, got up early the next morning and jumped on ME. We got checked in and dropped our luggage. It was easy and we got to spend the whole day at the park.

Perhaps waitlist the night before to see if anything is available? Assuming you own at DVC?
