just thought i'd pop over here and give you guys a update.....
well she came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. she called and said she was ready at 1:00, i got out of work, rushed down there with ds and dh and they never discharged her until 6:00ish. she will be staying with us for a while. she lives alone, so she can't go there. we are a little cramped, but that's ok. ~god love my husband, he's just so understanding~ so we still don't know a lot. we are still kinda on the one day at a time rule. i never knew i was capable of doing what i'm doing. never really thought of myself as "nancy nurse", but i guess you do what you have to when push come to shove. she seems to be feeling a little bit better every day. WAY better than a couple of weeks ago, but now i think it's the incision that's hurting not the pain she had before. although she never really had any pain before. it was the vomiting and diarrhea before. that's all gone. thank goodness. she still is not eating all that much. but i figure if i can get her to eat just a little something at every meal, is better than before. she is a diabetic, so i really have to watch the food. i'm really learning all kinds of stuff. i had to fight for her with the dr today. i just wish someone would please just step back and treat her like she was their mother, instead of just a patient. i do have to say that the people at the pharmacy have been wonderful. so that's a good thing. she even called them today to thank them for how good they have been to me lately ~with all her meds and giving me info and such~ and they said no problem. if we needed anything else, just give a jingle. they told her to tell me to pop in there tomorrow and they will give me a special phone # to call in case of emergency and she needs a script and they are not there, they will get it for her. really bending over backwards to help her. i'll have to do something nice for them, to show how much i appreciate all their kindness.
so thanks everyone for all the kind words and prayers and support. please keep them coming. we still have a ways to go.
all my love to all my friends here-
