Does anyone have any suggestions? We have a 16 month old who will not sleep in a packnplay and that is all the Port Orleans has to offer. Do any of the Disney resorts provide actual cribs? I have checked in to renting a crib from local companies-who can afford another $80 just to rent a crib when most hotels around Disney offer them for free!!

We travel a lot and have a tall son (2 yrs now). The pack and play was nice for a while, but what a pain to lug around. I found two things that might be good for your child. For a cruise, I got my son a Bob the Builder (other characters are available) ready bed at Toys R Us. Basically its an inflatable sleeping bag (the inflate is a pain though-foot pump). It was great for a cruise because it didnt take up much room and we stood it against the wall when not in use. However, my son wasnt quite used to sleeping in it and rolled out a few times. Comes with a carry bag (its small too). The other item which we use more often is a toddler aero bed. The middle is recessed so he cant roll out easily. It inflates in seconds, and is easy to deflate. The only problem initially was getting him to stay put in it, but that is no longer a problem. Its a bit more expensive, but we sure got our moneys worth out of it (travel to my dads in the mountains, beach, Disney, hotels, etc). Its pretty comfy too, as are the aero beds in general.

I have heard that the Wilderness Lodge (at least the villas) will bring you a full size crib.

If I were you I would call Port Orleans and ask about a crib.

Don't think that money is not a concern with for me and my family, but if I was in your situation, I would definetly spend the extra money and get a regular crib. I would recommend www.abbf.com (a baby's best friend) because their pricing is pretty resonable ($65.00 for 4-7 nights for a full size crib) and it includes all the accessories with it. they deliver it to the resort. IMO, it's worth it to have your baby safe and happy.

GF provided a regular (although not full size crib) when we were there last August. It wasn't a pack and play it was more like a port a crib. He loved it. It even had a Mickey crib sheet. He was 2 at the time.
