My teen daughter has a church youth party this weekend and needs to take a 5.00 gift for dirty santa. I need some ideas something that other teens like as well. Thanks!

gift card to either Subway, Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks?

I'd go to the dollar store - or 5 Below - maybe just $5 of candy? They had lava lamps, those blow up chairs,a Twilight Scene it (altho for my dd, Twilight is "out"), ear buds, some crackle fingernail polish, hats, socks, etc

Personally - I'm getting the $5 Buzz Light year Operation game - I think they'll have fun with it on Christmas, and they are in their 20's, dd 15... :rotfl2:

Girls or boys? or does it need to be unisex? Any popular gift card- mcdonalds, sonic, claire's, - maybe a generic Twilight Breaking Dawn T-shirt?

Best Buy as Dynex earbuds for $3.99 that can be used with cell phones, iPhones, iPods, etc.

Or, if you want a fun toy, you might be able to get a dart gun or some sort of nerf type gun or water gun for about $5. That's what I usually fill my teenage nephews Easter basket with and he uses it that day (not sure about after I leave. ;) )

I'd also say Starbucks gift card is a good choice. And I agree with 5 Below as a great place for secret santa gifts.

$5 in candy is a great gift. Also, you can sometimes find those metal water bottles for under $5.

DD17 would pick Starbucks, Panera or Target. If you don't want to do a gc, how about a pretty scarf or cute compact? Or an insulated mug if you find a sale or coupon to bring it down to $5. Assuming there are both sexes so I would say a gc is the easiest.

Around here the popular ones are the Sonic gift card, or a gift card to our local Gelato or Ice Cream place. They are non-gender specific and all the teens like them.

ELF Cosmetics (available at Target) has a bunch of kits for $5 each. I picked up a set of five lip glosses for one niece and an eyeshadow palette for the other. :thumbsup2

Hope that helps,
Laura

We did this a few years age with a $10 limit. We took a roll of toilet paper and unrlled it a little and places a $10 bill in it. It was so funny noone wanted it, it actually came back home with one of my kids. We tried to trade it and noone would. They regretted it when they knew the money as in it:rotfl:
