Hello!
Off to the magic on saturday, arriving sunday which is the last day of high season! What do I need to ensure we do on the sunday that will not be on in the week?
I have had a look at the programme but its just this week so not sure which things will be stopping.
So far I have..

Tarzan Show
Fantullusion
Fireworks

Will all the character meets (rapunzel, princesses) be on in the week?
All the other shows and the normal parade? Peter Pan follow the leader thing?

We had planned to do Alices Maze and Snow White Ride as they were both refurbs from the monday onwards but it seems that they have now been reaaranged to the 19th which is brilliant but am worried they may change back and we won't get to do them? Is it normal for the dates to change a lot?

Don't want to miss out on anything!
Can't decide what time or where to eat either on the sunday as we will be staying at the park until after the fireworks and arriving in the afternoon! Want to make sure we don't miss anything but can't eat to late because the kids are used to eating early!

Any last minute tips?
:goodvibes

Hello,

Sorry I cannot answer all your questions but here are a few infos however, in order you to enjoy as much as possible your stay at the Magic Kingdom,

As far as I know, you've listed the 3 major shows which will be off at the end of the high season (Sept. 4th). You were right.

All the other "regular" shows should run normaly. The only difference will be the schedule : there will be certainly less shows per day.

The parades will come back to their low season set : certainly around 2pm for the Stars and cars and around 4pm for the "Once upon a dream" parade. All this from Monday, Sept. 5th

Concerning the refurbishments, DLP is not used to change dates very often but, sometimes operationnal necessities require a change in plans. I confirm that except unplanned and/or out of the ordinary event, no attraction except the Robinson Tree & Disneyland Railroad (from Monday included) should be closed during your stay.

Finally concerning the dinner, depending on what time you check-in, may I suggest you to eat at Disney Village just after your check in. You'll then get the occasion to test the new "Earl of sandwich" (I found this one has a reasonnable price considering quality) or different snacks and then head to the parks. An alternative should be NY sandwich or Mc Donald's (this one might be much crowded than the others)

I don't think that 2 pirates & a princess will agree a long sit-in service after a long trip from home & considering they may be excited to meet their Disney pals.

Considering all other questions I couldn't answer hope anyone else will be helpull otherwise do not hesitate to ask the at the hotel reception/concierge.

By the way, which hotel did you choose ?

Thank you so much for the reply, answered all my questions perfectly!

I will be sure to try the Earl of Sandwich, looks lovely!

We are staying at Davy Crockett Ranch as there are 5 of us so had limited choices, we really love the idea of seperate bedrooms so we have an area to relax in once the kids are in bed.

Am getting very nervous now especially about the driving but everything packed and ready, can;t wait to tell the kids tomorrow as they don't even know yet!! :goodvibes:rotfl2:

Don't worry about the drive, honestly. I was really nervous the first time I did it but it really was no problem as you basically just follow everyone else! You get used to it really quickly.
Ferry or Le Shuttle?

Have a fab trip!

Eurotunnel..looked like the quicker, easier option!

Thank you, sure it will be fine, Im thinking it can't be any worse than driving in Florida which we did a few years ago!

Was the only option for 5 of us, eurostar worked out very expensive and 3 kids on a plane is a no go for us! Not as cheap as you would think though once you factor in eurotunnel, fuel, tolls, car kit needed for european travel and european breakdown cover!

I've probably misssed you but have a great time! :wizard:

I agree - we've always either flown or Eurostarred it but as we've now got a huge estate car I thought I'd price it up the other day. It certainly wasn't as cheap as I thought it would be.
