Nearest grocery store?

We're staying at Pop Century, driving down so we'll have the car with us. We're doing 2 character breakfasts during our trip, but the other 3 mornings we are planning to have cereal in the room (we already requested a fridge for milk). My kids are little (ages 3 and 1) so this is much easier for them and for us, so we can get out of the hotel and to the parks bright and early.

Where is the nearest Publix to the Disney resort (or any other supermarket)? Also, anyone know if the hotel will refrigerate the milk for me if I can't check into the room right away? We'll be arriving arounf 11 or 11:30 and want to go to MK right after eating lunch at the food court, but I know the room is not guaranteed to be available until 3:00. I also know they will hold our luggage for us, but wondering about refrigerating the milk.

i know that there is a Wal-Mart in Lake Buena Vista, but im not sure where, my parents go there whenever we go to Disney and it has alot of stuff. i believe its one of those super Wal-Mart's. hope that helps

last time I stayed at the all star movies and we didnt have a refrigerator but i think that you can request one from the front desk and they will bring you one, but that might only be for certain ones.

We already requested a fridge through our travel agent, and costs money per day, which is fine with us. We need it because we have a 13-month-old baby! I was just wondering about whether or not the desk will refrigerate milk for us until our room is ready because it is not guaranteed to be ready until 3PM.

Thanks for the tip about Wal-Mart. I will look on their website to see exactly where it is!

Anyone have luck getting into their room early? If so, how early?

You might want to do a map quest search for grocery's in that area i know theres a publik's close to the Fort but that may not be the closest to you there is a super target and a super walmart plus a sam's club in the same area plus there is a walgreens that has some basics i'm sure you can find something close if you do a little research oh yeah just thought of something do you have a GPS if you do you can look up grocery's and it will give you options on whats avialable there is winn dixies,publiks and others like super walmart and super target in the area i'm sure you can find one of these either with gps or if you don't have one then map quest it good luck and have fun and enjoy the magic
call your resort and ask about if you get there early if they have a place to put your grocery's (refrigerator) i have heard of a place that does deliveries of groceries but don't remember the name i'm sure some one else will help with that but that maybe a option also

Yes, we have a GPS! I totally forgot about that! That we can search for grocery stores in the area! I am new to the whole GPS thing. Thank you so much for reminding me!

There is a Winn Dixie very close to Downtown Disney.

Directions to Publix from POP.

Go out Pop and turn LEFT onto Victory Way. At the light turn LEFT onto Osceola Parkway. At the 2nd light turn RIGHT onto International Drive. Publix is on your left just a little way down.

Total drive time about 4 minutes.

Have you checked out fridge swaps to save money on renting a fridge ?There are several on the budget board!

Publix is our grocery store. They have a lot of tourist needs as well. Walmart is a little farther away maybe 10-12 minutes.

To get to Walmart from POP do the same thing as above except take International Drive to the light.

At the light turn LEFT (192)
take to Polynesian and turn LEFT
Walmart on your RIGHT just after Indian Wells

Have you heard about Gardengrocer.com.
You can order groceries from home (save time while at WDW)
They will deliver it to your hotel for $12.00 (I think this is still the same).
Check with your resort, but where we have stayed, bell hop will keep the groceries in a refrigerated area until you get into your room.
