Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

NO EXPERT HERE- lol.

but I have a Disney reservation for later in December and every page of my itinerary says "check out by 11" is that what you are seeing?

the giant tickets thread seems to indicate that a 4+1 ticket is plainly just marketing and to Disney's system is it a 5 day ticket period.

You say 10/24 to 10/29. When I count on my fingers that's 6 days. Yet you have a 5 day ticket. You didn't book any FP's on the 24th did ya?

it should let you make a fastpass on your checkout day anyway as long as you had enough days of tickets, so not allowing 10.28 wouldn't have anything to do with it showing you as checking out that day anyway as near as i can tell.

If you can't figure it out you're going to need to read one of these giant thread to get the phone number for Disney IT. They can log in to your account and look at exactly what you would see (I've had them ask me- is it OK is I log on to your account to look at it?)- so they can see what you do and let you know if that is wrong.

I did do fast passes for the 24th, but that's my first day in the World and would be my first of five days, with the fifth being on the 28th. I am not booking anything for the 29th, as I'm leaving that morning, and wouldn't be going to the parks. I'm holding for IT as we speak - the CM I spoke to at Disney said that this is a common problem, and she transferred me right away. Thanks for pointing me to the October thread - I will also check there!

UPDATE: The problem had nothing to do with my resort reservation - it was the fact that my UT park hopper passes were connected to my MagicBands instead of showing up in My Reservations//My Tickets. Issue resolved, and the multiple CMs I spoke with were MUCH more helpful and friendly than the one I got initially :-)

Other than the icon and a quick banner showing AT&T as the official wireless sponsor, no obvious changes.
 
Do you currently have a MagicBand or have an open order for one? If not, you will not have the 'MagicBands & Cards' option in the MDE app. You will have a 'Manage MagicBands' option (will say 'Personalize MagicBands' while you have an open order) on the MDE website that will show you any MagicBands and/or RFID cards that are attached to your profile.

Where/how do you actually order magic bands? this part is very confusing to me. It sounds sometimes like Disney just sends them to you, but other times I have read about people ordering them... :confused3

Currently, MagicBands are only available to Disney Resort guests. If your room reservation is eligible, there will be a 'Personalize MagicBands' option on the MDE website. The option on the MDE app will just say 'MagicBands & Cards'.

Eventually, those staying off-site will be able to purchase MagicBands if they are using MYW tickets. There is no word on when or how that will work.

MagicBands will also be offered to annual pass holders. Again, no word on when or how the process will work.

We are staying on site, at Pop, which I believe is rolled into the test already. I guess our dates are not the "test" period but maybe the "real" period, so they haven't shown up yet.

Right now mine just says "Magic bands and cards" and tells me I don' thave an open order.

You are definitely too far out. The options generally don't open until 60 days or less at this point.
 
We are staying on site, at Pop, which I believe is rolled into the test already. I guess our dates are not the "test" period but maybe the "real" period, so they haven't shown up yet.

Currently, only check-ins of 11/30 and earlier are eligible. All Disney Resorts are included as of 10/23.
 
Can I add another part of our traveling parting to my Disney experience so I can make reservations and fast pass+ for them too.

They have there own confirmation # so can I use it and manage their dining and fastpass stuff

i haven't read the giant december MB thread to see what's up yet. But just FYI-we got the option ofr our december stay at something like 67 days. I have a second check in that is currently 69 days out with no option.

Could be an artifact of how they "turned on" december checkins. not sure at the moment...
 
Wondering if anyone else having this issue: when scrolling to make FP+ selections ( for MK), any touch to the list opens the attraction description. Hard to scroll down because it keeps thinking I want to view the description. Almost lost my mind. Was able to get to the rides I wanted by sorting by height, but otherwise this seems unusable. On iPad with iOS.7 upgrade. With back button and delay loading of data, I kept being knocked out. Anyone else experience this?

I booked my room only reservation (with a CM F&F discount), today I JUST added my dining plan and park tickets. I had made ADR's online through MDE prior to adding the DDP.

I received my reservation update that shows the DDP, but I don't see it in MDE at all. Should I see it listed? DO I need to do anything to my ADR's now that I have a dining plan?

I have a CM F&F reservation. I have not added tickets nor DDP yet. I can see my resort reservation and all my ADRs on MDE. You do not need to do anything to your ADRs, if they are showing up on MDE. It ahppens all the time that people make ADRs prior to adding DDP. They will simply ask you at the restaurant how you are paying.

How did you add tickets and DDP to your reservation? Can you see your tickets linked in MDE? When are you going? This is the first time I am booked through CM F&F and I am trying to find the best way to add tickets that will show up correctly on MDE.

We have a Package with Disney. We all have 9 day park tickets! I did call the MDE technical support but the lady had a strong accent and I had a hard time understanding her and I don't think she really understood what I was asking. I am assuming I'll have to call in again.

I'm just concerned. Is anyone else having this particular issue? All the CM would say is that "she" could see my tickets. :surfweb::confused3

Had this issue w my husband, I had to change his privacy settings to allow me to "see" his ticket. We also have a package w dining plan. Dining reservations have no issues.

Our issue is that I can see his and my ticket on the computer, but nothing on the app, iPhone or iPad. Weird.
