You're probably right about more issues needing to be worked out.
Sorry. Just checked the MDE Site again. The correct term is Admission Card. When you click on "Link Existing Reservations and Tickets", you are presented with 4 options. Link Resort Reservation, Link Dining Reservation, Link Ticket or Pass, Link Admission card.
When clicking on the Link Admission card, it presents you with a field to enter the card ID. on the right is a Sample Pic of an admission card with 12 digits for ID.
I assume the Admission Cards are the RFID Cards as they have a small square indentation on the top right side of the card as if there is a chip in it.
The ticket does not have any such square indentation.
These were purchased through TICKETSATWORK.com They provide corporate discounts for tickets, travel, etc... for corporate employees.
I'm surprised you can see the square for the chip. I have both RFID KTTW cards and Annual Passes (likely the same as your Admission Cards in design) and none of them have a visible sign of the chip. I actually cut up one of the KTTW cards to find the chip, and yes, it's in the upper right. It was a bit hard to find though, and I knew what I was looking for.
I'm familiar with Tickets At Work, although I've never purchased Disney tickets from them.
Is the front of the child's ticket (which I assume is still a card) a different design from the others? I'm going to guess the other are the green background designs, with either Mickey, Minnie, Donald or Goofy.
If the child's ticket is different, it's probably a blue background and says "Let the Memories Begin" at the top. If so, it is moist likely NOT an RFID card.
They might do this for two reasons:
1) They still have stock left of older child tickets and are working through them
2) The new RFID cards have no distinguishing marks between adult and child ticket entitlements. They only have the 12 character code. They don't even say what they are. So they are sending the child ticket as a different ticket so you know which is which.
#2 is actually a bit of a problem if the discount sellers start sending only the new cards.
Also, in your situation, you will need to either all enter through the old turnstiles, or go to a ticket booth and get the child's ticket changed to an RFID card.
Question, Since I had already linked the Admission Cards to the accounts, is there any way to see them linked in MDE? Or is there any way to unlink them?
I see my activated AP and expiration date in my MDE profile on the web site. After going to My Profile, click on "About Me", and it is under Affiliations. However, I had a voucher number already associated with my account, so I don't know if that matters. And it might only apply to passholders.
