On an "average" day.
1. Yup.
2. 15-35 min.

Yes, most of the rope drop crowd goes to FoP. At some point, the group splits between two paths, one for each ride. The CM’s will tell you where to go.

We were planning on going on Navi River later in the day so we could see Pandora at night. What is the longest someone has had to wait at this time of day?

On Saturday at 8:48p, the posted Standby wait was 40 minutes. We entered Standby and were on a boat in 10 minutes. :)

About 10 days ago, we had about a 15 minute wait (posted 20) at about 9:15 in the morning. By the time we exited the ride, it was up to 40 and 60 not much later than that.

On 9/27 and 9/28, we enetered the queue each day at about 0850 and were at our boat within 3-4 minutes. We did *not* arrive at the park super early. arrived at the tapstiles at probably 0835 both days.

You should expect to be underwhelmed. The ride is our least favorite at AK.

Don't save a lot of time to see Pandora at night. It isn't a large area so doesn't take much time to see. Truthfully, it would take maybe 15 minutes to see the whole area and about 10 more if you want to take photos.

Sorry for being a thread pirate here!

We also plan to do Navi early but will be coming from Tusker House. Is the "back way" from Africa to Pandora still closed? I was bummed when I heard about that as we were thinking that would cut a good few minutes off our walk.

We are hoping to be done with breakfast and headed to Pandora by 9:15. Hopefully that isn't the same time everyone else gets there!

Yes! I did a rope drop visit in early August. I went to FoP first and was out back in front of FoP at 9:01am. They obviously started a bit early. I then headed right over to Navi River. which was showing a 30 minute wait. It wasn't that long as I was back out in Pandora by 9:17.

Of course I had arrived at the park just before 7:30am so I was very near the front of the crowd.

Here is my trip report:

It was when I was there in early August. I read on another thread that they will open it when the line to FoP clears the pathway. Maybe between 10am-11am.

Jus there this Wed. Arrived in park about 8:45 (we planned to miss the rope drop madness). Walked to NRJ and waited 5 minutes, rode twice.

We then had FoP FP and finished around 9:45am, took "back way" to Africa, line for FoP was all along the walkway to Africa, said 180 minutes.
