If the one-way drop fee does not show up on the original reservation for National, does it mean that we will not be charged with it?

We have 2 one-way rental from toronto to BUF and from BUF back to toronto in June. We got pretty good rates for them and our ressies did not indicate that we have to pay a one-way drop fee. However, when I was trying to get another quote last night with the same dates and same contract ID, the national website has included a one-way drop fee in the new quote.

Does any DISer have a one-way rental experience with National? I am just worried that we will get slammed by the drop fees when we pick up the cars at the National counters.

TIA!:worship:

Any drop fee will be shown on your reservation. A rental agency won't charge a drop fee if they want to move the car to your destination. They'll charge a drop fee, or won't even allow a one way rental, if they don't want the car in your destination location.

I suspect National wants their cars with US plates in the US and cars with Canadian plates in Canada. You happen to make your reservation when their computer indicated cars needed to be moved.

Thanks Lewisc. We have another reservation for a RT car rental for 2 full weeks but I just don't seem to think it make a lot of sense if we have to pay slightly more for this 2 week rental plus parking at BUF while the car will just sit in the parking lot when we are actually flying RT from BUF to MCO.
