I'm just curious..........

In the last 2 years (January of 1999 - Dec 2001) what is the lowest you have paid for a weekly intermediate to full size car?

In the last 2 years, what is the highest price you've paid for a weekly intermediate to full size car?

I'm wondering how much the rates have increased over the last 2 years. (or have they come down?) It's just one of those questions that get stuck in your head and bug you until you find out. ;)

Over this Thanksgiving, we have a rate of $124 a week for a full size EA rental car. I think that is the least we have ever paid. I'm incredibly excited about it! LOL As for the highest, I think we paid around $150-160 in 1999.

last Sept. I paid 110.25 for a week, full size EA all taxes etc. included.
This Sept, I will pay 113.35 for the same as above.

Full size, Apr 28-May5, 2001 (a little less than 7 days) @ National, total was $113.--. I just made a reservation for next year's trip, this week. Apr-25-28, 2002 (a little less than 4 days) with p/u @ MCO (3 nights at the Swan, WDW) and return @ FLL, and the price was only $65.27!! Much cheaper than using a towncar service:) :)

my price including taxes etc is 141.50 for 8 days (my return will be after 7 pm the 8th
day) for 8/26-9/2/01 using DC contract code and a coupon on mousesavers.

full size - 9 days (October) Base $124 less both DC codes plus tax etc. = $162

curlyjbs 36 more days!!

In Jan I paid 107 and some change for a convertible (got off the EA but booked full size) for 5 days and that's what I have for this Nov as well. Dec of 2000 we paid 132.00 for 7 days due to problem with National not being able to "give me" the rate on confirmation (which was about 110.00), so that's the most we've paid for a rental.

So it seems that the rates have stayed pretty much the same, just fluxuating by $30 or so. Anyone else have any input?

sep/oct of 99 I got a full size for 89 for the whole week. that included all taxes everything. I found the price on expedia. the guy at alamo was shocked when he saw that......

I paid $107 for a week last December & last February. Emerald Aisle, Emerald Club discount (it was 15% or 20% then), $15 Entertainment Coupon. $117 in May. The highest I ever paid was over $200 in October 1998 (8 days), the prices have really come down!

We are renting a full-size--Nov. 17th-Nov. 24th (8 days) for $135.75 (INCLUDING FEES/TAXES)...We used DC contract code and a $20.00 off coupon from United Airlines.
