Ok, I am 4 weeks from my trip. National has a good rate for my dates using the enterainment book codes. Anyway, I was going to register for Emerald Club to avoid lines. When I went to register, they needed a credit card number as a required field at it was an unsecure site. I am not very computer literate, but when it comes to credit card information online I get scared. Has anyone registered on a secure site?

I have had NO problems with National having my credit card information. I have had to cancel reservations and modify reservations and have NEVER had anything unusual charged to my account.

I was using the Entertainment book to book my rental car for the middle of May, but I found this discount code and I save $35.42 off of the best rate offered by the Entertainment book.

I love being an Emerald Club member. I LOVE being able to bypass the counter and just head to the aisles.

I also LOVE booking an Intermediate size car and going to the Emerald Aisle and picking any car I want from that aisle. Now, most of the time it only has Intermediates and there's no guarantees that you'll get anything else but sometimes there are some different (or bigger) cars there like last year we got a small SUV. The time before that a convertible PT Cruiser, before that an HHR, and before that a full size SUV. The rest of our rentals were all Intermediates but that's ok because that is all I expected and paid for anyway.

I love Emerald Club.

We love being National members. It's great to just pick out your car and go. Put it this way, I could have had a reservation with another company for our next trip (Dollar or Alamo? i can't remember which....)and saved about $30, but the ease and convenience with National made me keep our existing reservation even though it was a little more expensive.

I purchase online regularly and have never, ever had any problems with the info. National needs your info so you can bypass the counter and they will automatically charge your card when you return the car.

Don't worry at all about it....

Thanks for the code, you saved me around $18. Hey I'd rather it be in my pocket and not theirs. I am now paying $160 for 8 days. Do I need to print out a coupon?

Yes, that was my problem. I could only see http (no "s"). I registered anyway. I think I will be glad I signed up for Emeral Club.
