National Early December Full Size Rates Have Dropped

Hi All,

My National rates for a Full Size from 4-Dec @ 2pm to 13-Dec @3pm have dropped from $217 to $171.40. I'm using the Entertainment Book $20 off coupon and the Priceless Vacations code.

Here's the breakdown:

To $127.34!!!!

So since November 15 I have gone from $161.21 to $148.46 to $127.34!


Edit: I found my first reservation and it was for $170!

Was holding a 5 day rental with EA using AMEX code and Entertainment $20 coupon for a$124.82 total, Priceless finally went lower today to $116.78 for a 5 day Emerald Aisle Intermediate. Thanks for posting. Every little bit helps.

Thanks for the heads up. My 8 day rental went down $25.00 The only problem is I can't get it to work under my Emerald Aisle membership. Will try tomorrow at work. National's website can be so quirky. I've cleared my cookies and everything. Thanks again.

Thanks for the tip! I dropped from $130 to $122. That's about what I am used to paying for early December. I didn't think it was going to happen this year. I made a res for $142 on 9/30. It jumped up to $160 shortly after. Last Monday it dropped to $130, today $122 (intermediate EA, priceless, $20 entertainment). I checked full size, it's $172.

I hope this means the car shortage is over.

SStJean, You beat me to the punch! I have the same dates, same codes, only AM arrival and 8PM departure, so we are paying for 10 full days. I had a reservation for $225, and it had been at $255 for about 6 weeks. Checked this morning and it was $181 (just like SplshMtn99)! Of course I grabbed it right away. The $44 saved will pay for our parking at Port Canaveral!

This is our first year of renting a car. Most years we get to Disney and stay on the property but this year we decided to travel to Universal and Publix. Looking forward to both. So I was very happy with our price of an intermediate using Priceless and the Entertainment Book for $123.34 for 12/5-12/13.

So between not using Mears and getting a ride from our house to Midway instead of using a limo service, we actually end up saving money on transportation.

Our price is down a few more dollars this eve. We had a decent rate of $124 for 5 days EA, with Carlson Wagonlit and $20 Entertainment coupon. Yesterday, it dropped to $116 using Priceless code instead of Carlson Wagonlit, and today it's $111. Thanks everyone!

My rate dropped $10 last week for my 4 day rental. Today it dropped another $10. I went from EA to full size and it was still less than my last week amount. Paying $91 total using Priceless code and free day coupon.

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my Dec 10 full size rate and it dropped by a little over $30. Here are the details for anyone else looking. My dates are 12/10-12/19. I'm using the Priceless code and will be applying an EC reward coupon for 1 free day. final estimate should be around $162

I've been checking for a couple of months and was about to give up on a better rate. Lets all hope it keeps going down.

No, minivan rates haven't budged. Guess they have a surplus of fullsize cars. There are not many of us traditionalists left who prefer driving a normal car rather than a truck or a big box.
