Hello all and greetings from PA!

Just wondering if the Dollar fast-track service is as convenient as Emerald Aisle? I've never used Dollar before, and the rates ARE cheaper -- but I was wondering if it was just as easy to use as the EA service? Do you get to bypass the counter and not fill out paper work? Also, does anyone know if it is close to USAir baggage claim? I sort of remember EA being somewhat close by, which was nice when you're hauling luggage. Thanks so much for the info.!!

Dollar is counter service even with fast track, the paper work is done, for the most part. They are all one floor down from luggage pickup, so, go with the best price. Luggage carrying is much easier if you spend the 3.00 for the "smart carts".

Dollar fast track service requires that you go to the counter and sign some paperwork. However, you go to a special line just for fast track members and you get served before the non-fast track customers. I got some angry looks when I went ahead of the others that were standing on a fairly long line. I was only at the counter, including waiting, for about 2 minutes. Since they have all of your information in the computer already, they do not have to enter any info, so the line goes very quickly.

Remember, when you use EA, you still have to wait on line at the exit to the parking lot so they can check your driver's license and credit card info, so there is some waiting time even with EA. I have had to wait a couple of minutes to get out of the lot when they were busy. With Dollar fast track, once you get to your car you just exit the lot with no other check points.

The feature I like about EA (or National in general) is that you get to look at the available cars and select the one you want. With Dollar, they assign you one at the counter. When I inquired about the types of cars available at the intermediate level, they gave me a choice of 2 types, but obviously, I couldn't inspect the cars first. You might be able to get some info about features and colors at the counter, but you won't be able to see the entire available inventory like at National.

Overall, I think National EA is slightly more convenient than Dollar Fast Track. However, my experience with both has been very good. I happen to like being able to look at the cars and pick the one I want with National EA, but I have also used Dollar when their rates are significantly lower and have been pleased with the Fast Track service. Unfortunately, I can't help you with the question about the US Air baggage claim. I usually fly Delta or Continental. Hope this info helps you!
