National Doughnut Day in the USA (June 3). What doughnut are you eating in celebration? I’m eating a Boston cream doughnut as a snack today.

I wish I would have known about this holiday yesterday when I went to the grocery store. I will have to do a belated celebration in a couple weeks when I go back. I am still only shopping twice a month, as much to conserve gasoline as anything else.

We got our first Dunkin Donuts a few months ago and people wonder why I haven't been. Last time I had a doughnut my blood sugar spiked at 225.

I don’t mind celebrating late. I have time to anticipate just how good that donut will taste! I will have to mop up a lot of drool in the meantime though.

I didn’t get to celebrate Christmas until the end of January, so I am good at the whole late holiday thing.
