Has anyone else had problems with the Disney Club contract ID # on the National web site? When I put the Disney club contract ID # into the Emerald Club reservation page in the "contract ID" space I receive no discount at all. With my regular contract ID # I receive a 10% discount, but am not sure why the Disney Club ID # is not working. I have used it before and have gotten good deals, but not this time. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The discount doesn't always show up as a deduction - but you can tell by the total if the discount has been taken into account.

I just checked the Disney Club website, looks like they have a new contract #. The old one gives 20% off, the new one does not. I tried my December dates and got $204 total with the old contract #, $250 total with the new one. Both are up from the $173 reservation I made last month.

I wonder if I'll have problems in November since I used the "old" DC contract #? Hopefully they won't give me a hassle since I'll have my printed confirmation.

I just used an old contract # recently because the new number was not giving me a discount. I had no problem when I got there.

Can anybody help me get the "old" contract number. Why would one number give a better discount than another if they are both under the Disney Club?

WiscMomof2 - Sent you a PM. Carol

I would also love to have the "Old Code" if anyone would please send it to me. Thanks!!

Could someone please send me the old code also? Thanks much!!

Not to be a nag, but I hope everyone who is asking for the "old code" are currently members of the DC. I was told that I may need to show my DC card when using the coupons.

Sorry, not trying to play police. Just wanted to make sure nobody had any surprises when picking up their car. A National rep told me that they can make you pay the highest prevailing rate if you forget coupons, card, etc., and we all know how high those rates can be.

dtuleya, you only need your card for the contract id # discount. The coupon is for the 1 day free. That number has not changed, you just need the current coupon which is on the club site. Yes they will ask for you DC card and Emerald Club if you are a member. I make sure to bring my copy of the confirmation with me so they will honor the price, along with the coupon. If not than like you said you are out of luck and pay thru the roof pricing.

Crissup, I'm sending you a pm with the old number. I have typed it so much I know it my heart. Good luck, but the rates a really crappy right now. I'm hoping to get my week rental down from $173. I paid $165 for 9 days last December. That was pre-9/11.

I am indeed a dc member. Speaking of being a member is there a discount on re-signing up to become a dc member again this year?

I was checking rates on the National site, and no discount showed up with the contract ID I was using (I think this would be the "old code". I got my up to date DC info and indeed found a different contract ID # in the spring members update. When I used this #--a 20% discount showed up right away!:)

I think maybe the old # I had is not useable anymore.

I called National reservations and the woman told me that the current DC contract states that the discount is "up to 20%." Even though we may be used to getting the 20% discount the current discount National is giving DC members is 5%. That kind of stinks, but that is the way the current contract reads. I don't know who negotiated this for DC, but when my medium-sized employer has a flat 10% discount all the time, I think DC members aren't getting a good deal. I will have to go back and look for my old DC contract number and try it.

Chance's Mom,

I went to National's site either yesterday or the day before and tried the new # from the newsletter I got over the weekend. I first tried without the code just thru emeral club, then I tried it with the new code. It was the same price!!! I then tried with the code from last year and I got the discount. It of course was more than what I reserved in May because of the price increase. I've tried the new code twice and the only discount I get is the 1 day free rental, not both discounts.

Sherryef, when I renewed in March it was only $30 so I think it may be automatic for renewals.
