I think I saw a news story that said there was a "new witness" who had seen Joran coming out of the area near the pond with one show and looking disheveled. I think he felt there might be something in that pond and he wanted to make sure it was searched thoroughly.

I think it would be a parent's worst nightmare having to deal with that kind of search in a foreign country. I feel for them and for the parents of Amanda Knox. No matter what their daugthers did or didn't do, it must be an absolute nightmare to think of your baby so far away from home and in danger, knowing there is nothing you can do about it.

Poor family members will not rest until the have proof. Can you imagine the nightmares of not knowing--even if deep down in your soul you believe she was killed and possibly dumped in the water somewhere? The what ifs would drive you mad. Nights must be hell for them. As sad as this is, I can understand the glimmer of hope he might have or at least the "what else could I possible do to try to find her?"

I hope they find her body... wouldn't it be some kind of miracle if they found her alive? I'm too optimistic, maybe? Anyways, I hope they find her, and I could never imagine what it would be like to lose a child!

I was optimistic that maybe she was sold in the Caribbean or something (not that that's great, but at least she might be alive), but after they videotaped that monster idiot kid admitting what he did, I lost all hope.

I honestly can't. We had a cat go missing and that was even hellish little glipse of what it would be like and we still wonder what happened to him 9 years later, a child would be a trillion times worse and on a scale that couldn't even compare...I really can't imagine it, it was horrible enough imagining all the horrible fates that could have happened to a freaking cat that going through that with your child must be absolutely soul destroying. You would always wonder if possibly they could be alive somewhere even if it's a tiny chance. Then the thought of them just dumped somewhere would be horrible.

My sister in law had a friend from high school vanish after a night at the bar and what that family went through was awful. They generally knew who was responsible but there was never quite enough evidence to do anything about it. People just took advantage too. The psychics were there years later with "new information" that never panned out but everytime that happened they had to go through the entire searching the woods for a body thing again . It was just so weird how somebody could literally vanish into thin air in our town and there was never anything found; and it's been around seven years now

I think the not knowing is way worse than a normal death, there would just never ever be any closure.

But don't you remember that guy... that guy... the name and the case slips my mind. BUT I know this guy was murdered, and some teacher said he murdered the dead guy, but there was proof he wasn't the murderer.

Read that last week and was surprised its been almost 4 yrs already. Didn't know a dog could hit on something from 4 yrs ago if they found something. I hope this family gets real answers and hopefully her body some day for closure.
