hi everyone

I am in nashville for my very first time and i am loving it. I am staying at the Gaylord Opryland and it is so big and beautiful. My question is I wanted to know how Jillian's is. I am thinking about going tonight and i was wondering how the prices are there? We are thinking about heading there in about two hours. Also how should i dress? Please respond soon i am in need of help.

Nancy

Hi, Nancy! If it is the Jillian's in Opry Mills it is just a big fancy arcade area with cool games and bowling, etc. You will be just fine in casual clothes. The menu is typical American cuisine -- salads, burgers, steaks, sandwiches, chicken, and pasta dishes. I have never eaten there, but I have heard it is good. Sorry, but I don't know about the prices. I would guess it is not too expensive though. HTH!

Jillian's is a Giant game place. VERY CASUAL!

I have only been there for corporate parties so I don't recall the prices, but I am pretty sure they aren't outragous. They want you to hang around and eat and drink. The games will kill you though....

We just got back from the Gaylord Opryland on Sunday and went to the Grand Ole Opry for the 9:30 show Sat night and saw Garth Brooks and I'm not a country fan. We spent 4 days there with my dh's company. The hotel is gorgeous, rooms need refurbishment, but we spent very little time in the room. Jillian's is a huge arcade. Really, there is no place there that we went to, including the italian restaurant (Volare) in the Gaylord that was dressy. Have a great time.

Thank you everyone for your fast help. We didn't end of going to jillians last night. We went to the Jack Danials and the Delta pub. They were both great. I don't go out to often so i wanted to get prettied up for a night. We may try Jillians tonight. Still looking for the price range to their food. If anyone can help that would be great.

We did go into the city yesterday and that was alot of fun. went into two bars, what fun that was. My husband and i love music, maybe not country but this was real cool. I can't think of the two bars right now , but there were on broadway.

thank you .... Nancy

I wanted to go see GB but commitments kept me home. I did know about half the audience though (all rushed down front for that segment ;) ). Did you happen to get any pix?

I'll be in Nashville tomorrow night for the Nashville Predators hockey game. Got an offer for 1/2 tix so couldn't refuse.

For the OP: You can view Jillians menu here (but it doesn't include prices) http://www.jillians.com/menu.asp

I was up in the balcony, so no, no good pics. My favorite performer though, was Josh Turner. What a cutie. And he has a great voice. What a lot of people don't know is that my husband's company bought out the whole theater for the 9:30 pm show and gave away all the floor seats to members of the 101st Airborne, Tennessee National Guard, Red Cross and fire and policmen from Nashville and a couple of other military groups. Most of those that rushed the stage were with those groups. It was a gift to them for their service. We do an annual trip that is paid for by the company for the employees and a guest. It was a lot of fun and I loved the hotel. The company also had the Delta Island area Friday night for a party. The whole island was shut down from mid-afternoon for set up and then we had a band, food, open bar and free Delta River Rides.

That was a very sweet thing for your husband's company to do. We knew the show had been sold out due to a buyout for a long time, but the Opry started selling SRO tickets last Monday and I have been told that a lot of floor tickets were being handed out for free outside since they weren't being used.

Most folks don't realize that you don't need a floor ticket to get down front, just need to have good timing (I have had the sore knees to prove it. ;) )

Their restaurants range in the $8-$22 range, depending on which one you're headed to. We like the teppanyaki type place, it's a lot of fun.

I remember the two bars we went to yesterday. They were Tooties and the legends corner . they had some great preformers. Well it doesn't look like we are doing anything today or tonight. My husband has been sick since last night. I hope his stomach feels better tomorrow.

thank you....Nancy
