Nascar question -- Starts at 1pm when will it end?

I'm driving my aunt from Atlanta to Warner Robbins and lo and behold the Golden Corral Nascar race is on the way on I-75. Going down is not a problem, just wondering about what time do they start leaving so we can avoid traffic.

2 hours, 3 hours? I have no clue!

If you can do as Dan suggests it's a good idea. If you can't, well, the race starts at 1PM and is a 500 miler. Barring a lot of cautions the race should finish in approximately 3 hours. So figure folks will be leaving the track between 4 and 6 PM. Traffic jams will last from about 4:30 to about 9-10PM if it is anything like the Texas track. Any way you can take an alternate route? What ever you decide good luck.

Well, we went and came back so it was no problem! Believe me we considered NOT going but we left after the race started and came back at 5:45 and had no traffic at all!!

Now THAT'S a new one for Atlanta!
