I know! I've read four food threads on the DIS, and all of the menus have sounded lovely (and provide more choices and items than any wedding/party/BBQ/luncheon I've been to), yet there are always people criticizing it. "Where is your vegan/gluten free/seafood/random obscure food item?" I would love to be invited to any of these weddings or parties.

The OP asked if it was enough food and if she was forgetting anything. I don't think suggesting a salad would be a random food item.
