I was wondering if anyone had any information about who would actually be narrating the Christmas story on Dec 29th and 30th.
Thanks!!!!

The narrators are usually announced sometime in October. I'm sure there will be lots of buzz around here when they are announced.

If I want to book a CP Dinner package, can I wait until the narrators are announced in October, or is that something that should be done ASAP?? (For the week of 12/6 - 12/13) Will I have trouble getting a package (I'm thinking LeCellier) if I wait?

Thanks!

You may not get your first choice of show times or PS times if you wait. If you are set on a particular time for either, my advice is to book now. If not, you can safely wait, IMHO.

The week of 12/6-12/13 isn't even close to as busy as Christmas week. You shouldn't have a problem, especially if you choose one of the weekdays to go.

Enjoy!

P.S. FWIW, we've never had a bad narrator - they've all been just wonderful!

I would book something now for the best choice of seating times. You can always change or cancel up to 48 hours before.

December 29th and 39th are the last two nights. I won't wait too long they might book up. I'm going on the 30th because this is my first day at the parks and the last day for the CP I've made ressies and I'm hoping for the best. Good luck.

I wouldn't wait and book based on who is narrating. We did this and thought we would see Scott Hamilton. It was changed later to someone we had never heard of Colin Raye, turns out he is a country singer. Anyway it was still a fantastic experience. I think they changed a couple of the narrators last year after they had been anounced.

I would book now. The packages tend to sell out especially around the holidays. When I went last year my speaker was supposed to be Roy Disney. Unfortunately he had some surgery and was told he was unable to attend. John Tesh was supposed to fill in, but he missed his flight. They caught Edward James Olmos as he was getting into his car to go to the airport and asked if he could stay one more day. He turned out to be the speaker the night I went. So you won't know for sure if the person listed will be the actual person speaking. Most of the time it is, but don't get all your hopes up, because you just never know what may change at the last minute.

I did the package and dined at the Rose & Crown. It made life easier knowing it is all done ahead of time.

I was there the same night as you last year. At first I was little disappointed that John Tesh hadn't made it, but my whole group thoroughly enjoyed Edward James Almos' narration. He really pored his heart and soul into it...

I would book this years CP reservations now. If you really need to you can change them later. But, I wouln't focus too much on which celebrity is narrating. The singers rule!! The narrators add a special quality too. I have been there the past 3 years, and have been happy with all of the narrators.

I look forward to making it 4 years in a row this December 2.

I always wait to see who the narrators are since I plan the trip around it. If I have a choice I want Marlee Matlin. If it is a hearing narrator I don't care since I get the story and music through the sign language interpreter. But with Marlee Matlin I actually get a narrator!
