Narcoossee's & Wishes

I already have a reservation at FF at 6:20 on August 29, but see there is a table available at Narcoossee's at 9PM. I'm wondering if we would be seated in time for Wishes? Or would most people dining at that time most likely tend to draw their dinner out to see the fireworks. I know we probably won't be at a table with a view, but we can always go outside.
Can you see the EWP from Narcoossee's?
I will cancel FF if the answer to this is affirmative - unless you have reasons why I shouldn't.
Hate it when I second guess my ADR's but this trip is in honor of my sister's 60th birthday and she's never seen Wishes - and probably never will, if not this time.
Any thoughts?

Most people do try to extend their dinners but even we've had a window seat during Wishes we went outside due to everyone else being on the porch (which is an outstanding view).

I can't remember about EWP and my ADRS have been around 8 but you could always check in 15 min early, which is recommended and I'm sure you would be allowed to go outside as well!

Narcoosse's is one of my favorite places to eat and if wishes is really that important to you, I saw book it. Earlier times might become available closer as well.

(You could always eat somewhere else and go by the dock at GF to watch them as well, since the beach at Poly isn't an option anymore)

1. What time is Wishes? Since it's recommended that you arrive at a Disney restaurant about 10-15 minutes early, if the fireworks are at 9:00 you will probably want to go outside onto the deck to watch Wishes first. Let the hostess know your plans. If Wishes is later you'll be seated and let your server know you want to see Wishes and they'll pace your meal accordingly.

2. Because many people go out on the deck and block the view of those seated at the window tables we usually end up going outside anyway.

3. Yes, the Electric Water Pageant performs outside of Narcoossee's. However, unlike Wishes, the soundtrack for the EWP isn't piped into the restaurant so if you want to hear the music you will need to go outside onto the deck.

4. Narcoossee's is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service are excellent and we make a point of dining there on all of our trips.

Rusty Scupper: If it were up to me, I would choose FF over Narcoossees; but I know my sister, and she'll choose a waterfront view over good food any day... If I cancelled it would be because we wouldn't be able to see Wishes; not the food, unfortunately - tho I do like Narcoossees - just not as much as FF.

Purple Figment: Wishes is at 10 PM, from what I can see on the WDW website. Wouldn't mind going outside for either the EWP or Wishes.

lam0037: Yes, thank you - I may try to check in a little early, and will probably go outside to watch anyway...

So I just may keep my 6:20 ADR at FF. Was thinking of going to Jellyrolls afterwards, but may deep-6 that & head back to the GF for Wishes. Unfortunately, it's a short 3 night trip & right now we have FF, Jiko, the V & A's Chef's Table scheduled. Wish we could stay longer to get everything in! (Doesn't everybody?!?)

Maybe 8:30 or so. 9:00 is fine as well

IF by chance you are still eating when it starts, just go out, watch the show, and then resume dinner. That happens a lot at Narcoossees and the staff is well used to timing , etc.

Narcoossee's is my favorite restaurant at WDW. The food and service have always been outstanding. Others have already answered the question about timing. In terms of the view, both Wishes and EWP can be seen from the restaurant. As the PP said, most folks tend to out to the veranda, so the view from the window tables usually ends up being blocked.

This is the view from the inner row of tables, when no one is out on the veranda (a very rare occurance, but it happened once during a rally cold spell):

This is the more common occurrence at the window tables. Imagine if the kids were not leaning to the side or if they were taller and you get a sense of why window tables aren't really that important in terms of fireworks and EWP.

Even if you go outside to watch the fireworks, a window table is still nice. You can look out onto the lake and see the MK and CR across the water. It's a pretty view. That being said, Narcossee's is great by itself and the view of Wishes/EWP is just icing on the cake.

Thank you, Uncleromulus. I was just concerned with a 9PM ADR that those already seated might not want to leave, so we wouldn't be able to eat until after Wishes. Is that a valid concern? Would there probably be room to eat at the bar, if no tables are available at that hour?

I think some of the folks at the window tables might not clear out until after Wishes, but there are still plenty of other tables. If you have a 9:00 pm ADR, you won't still be waiting until after 10:00 pm to be seated unless you request a window table and say you'll wait for one no matter how long the wait. The only time my family has waited a long(ish) time (~30 minutes) was because we were waiting for a table in a specific server's area. Other than that, we've always been seated within a reasonable time (sometimes before our ADR, sometimes after).

We had 9pm ADR Tues. Ariived at 845. We requested a castle view table. Had perfect seat and no one stood in front of our table. We saw EWP and wishes. Only Wishes music piped in though. HTH

Not that we timed it that way, but we once left Narcoossee's on the boat to MK, and the fireworks went off! Watching them from the boat was one of those unexpected Disney moments!

And now I really want a piece of cherry almond cheesecake . . . .
