We are thinking about this for our next trip (late sept)! Would love some reviews? How kid friendly? We have a 7yo ds, who is used to eating out! But, is a pickey eater!:bounce:

We ate there last November with our daughters aged 11 & 13. There were several families there. The setting is lovely. We had a table on the window w/a great view of MK fireworks. Food was excellent. The only snag was waiting about 20 minutes after being seated for any type of service---very frustrating---we almost left. During the fireworks we had to keep knocking on the window because people who were out on the deck would stand right in front of the window blocking our view. Think they had a kids menu.

The food at Narcooses is excellent, once you get it. We've also had service problems there. Service just seems really slow. It's a decent restaurant to take kids there, a little noisier than some of the others due to high ceilings and wooden floors, and seems to have more families than some of the other upscale WDW restaurants.

It's not on our list for our next trip, primarily because the service was so bad the last time we ate there, that I'm not sure we'll go back. And that's a real shame, because Chef TJ has created an awesome menu.

How does that work? I have been curious about this. I've read many times reviews that say if you don't have a window seat the staff will encourage you to go the deck but if half the restaurant goes to the deck to see the fireworks show what is the point in having the window seat? Just for the view before and after the fireworks I guess? So I guess what I'm asking is that even if we get a window seat we should still plan on going to the deck to see the fireworks?

Almost everyone in the restaurant goes outside on the veranda, as it is a very popular viewing spot. We usually have window seats there and go outside, as well, as I wouldn't expect people to move from in front of the windows. That's pretty much how it works at Narcoossee's.

We've always had wonderful dinners and service here. It's one of our favorite restaurants on property. We don't have kids, but it seems rather kid friendly. There is always quite a din!

Agree. We don't even request a window seat any more. Too easy to step outside on the porch. And if there is a crowd out there, you won't be able to see very well with a window seat.
