I've tried to share with others just how amazing the following experience was, but no one understands!
Last weekend DH was one of many in his very large company who received recognition during a five day event at a resort (not Disneyland) in Orange County. One of the nights our group went to eat at Napa Rose.
OMG
The place was closed except for our group.
It was kind of like a buffet, except we walked, plates in hand through the kitchen where the chefs all were convincing us to have what they were individually making. I know that I haven't had everything on that menu, but I think I have now! Like a buffet, if we wanted more, we just had to go back with a clean plate and walk through the kitchen again, deciding which offering we'd partake in.
Chef Andrew was there, directing the whole thing, didn't even bat an eye when I got all fan girl on him... even at least pretended to recognize me from the four times I've been at the chef's counter.
At the end I was the last one back to the bus because I was saying thank you to whoever was managing that evening... I left with a to go box full of the chocolates and jellies. The lady in charge of our bus excursion was not happy with me for being last, but everyone else was jealous of my box of treats!
Just had to share, didn't think to take photos as I was totally in the moment.
