Name some things you have done

I was present at the greatest comeback in NFL history :) Unless you were there too, I'm hoping nobody is ever able to experience that... because it means someone broke our record!

I was there too, almost left just after halftime but my Hubby begged to stay-glad we stayed. It was amazing!!!

YAY!!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My gross boyfriend at the time wanted to leave and for once I actually stuck up for myself and we stayed for the whole thing!! We lived out of state at the time, and decided to go on the spur of the moment since there were tickets left. My family was able to watch it, since we lived a bit outside of Erie and it was televised there.

Pandemonium.
Fandemonium.
Fantastic :goodvibes

*Have a great and spooky talent for reading Tarot cards.

I feel kind of boring compared to all of you, but I can come up with a few

Had 3 kids the 2 girls I had epidurals for, but my son I barely made it to the hospital so I had him all natural:eek:

I met my DH when I was about 9 (neighbor, I delivered his newspaper) and we started dating when I was 14 and he was 22:scared1: Now that we have two teenage daughters we are not happy about this:rolleyes1 But we have been married for 17 and a half years(and we dated for over 7 years) and are still in love:lovestruc

I was not proposed to by DH

I worked for the Pittsburgh Penguins(merchandising) the Pittsburgh Steelers(food service) the post office, and now I work in the summer for a local concert place and I go into work early enough to hear the singers warm up. That is interesting.

I was with my grandmother when she passed away, and I was the last person to see my Dad alive:sad1:

I am the treasurer for our church

I just sold my home last month for 10times what I originally paid for it:woohoo: (long story)

Fun thread.

Let's see.....

-- Have spent the night in some of the finest airports in the country. LOL! (My dad worked for an airline, and we sometimes got bumped and couldn't get a room.)
-- Went to summer school at the University of Hawaii
-- Arranged to have a missing man flyover in honor of our POW-MIAs during one of our college football games.
-- Was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at 22 and beat it. Obviously. :)
-- Got a job with an airline, so I could live in NYC after college. (That was when I was diagnosed.)
-- Watched the ball drop in Time Square from my living room window.
-- Have traveled to 19% of the world according to some app thingy on Facebook. LOL!
-- Have met a couple of former US Presidents, and quite a few Governors, Congressmen, etc.
-- Have met quite a few celebrities, but usually had to be told who they were. LOL!! I'm not really into pop culture much.

(Most of these I met as a flight attendant, but some through mutual acquaintances.)

-- Have jumped down the evacuation slide of an airplane.
-- Waited until I was almost 30 to get married.
-- Never actually went on a date with my dh. We flew trips together and would hang out together on layovers. We explored Paris, London, Brussels, San Juan, etc. I don't know I guess you could call those dates, but we didn't date in a traditional sense.
-- Got married in a hospital, (My mom was a patient.) and the story was covered by the local news. Some other places nearby picked up the story though, too.
-- Lost both my parents exactly 3 weeks apart. :(
-- Cloth diapered dd#1.
-- Now, we are homeschoolers.
-- Saw the Olympic torch go by, but I don't remember where it was on its way to. This was in '96 in So. Florida.
-- Was at Rock Center for the tree lighting celebration.
-- Had a small part in Romeo and Juliette in high school. I played a friar, eventhough I am a girl. Our Romeo is now a Hollywood director.

- Was a Santa's helper at the mall for five Christmas seasons.
- Worked in the county jail for a year and a half.
- Got hit in the face by a metal object thrown at high velocity by an emotionally disturbed 5-year old at work (that just happened this week!).

* Was in a TCBY yogurt commercial when I was about 11.

* Was the passenger in a Ford F350 that was doing 120 mph down Interstate 20 in Dallas.

* Saw Pope Benedict give Wednesday service in St. Peter's square.

* Witnessed a car that was driving in front of me hit a highway median head on and flip into the air. (I stopped to give aid- the person lived.)

* Went to France to visit my DHs ancestor's town. While were there, the mayor was having a party, and we became the unofficial guests of honor.

* Gave CPR to a newborn puppy that wasn't breathing. He lived.

* Will be graduating this spring with a BA in Sociology with a 4.0 GPA.

* Had airport employees threaten to detain me in France because I couldn't remember the name of the hotel I stayed in (It was French, and I only speak English!)

Sat in a Tibetan monastery listening to monks chant.

Cruised the Nile.

Had dinner at Club 33 in Disneyland.

Did a princess meal at Disneyland Paris.

Gazed up at the Statue of David.

Held my husband's hand on the Eiffel tower.

Spent a year in therapy trying to overcome a lobster phobia.

Graduated college in 3 years with a 3.98 GPA while having a baby midway through.

Became best friends with my husband's ex-wife.

Pakey, I need that therapy. I can't eat anything that came from water. Was this to be able to eat them or not be afraid of them? I am so interested in this...

My mom is a life long vegitarian and did her best to scare me into being one when I was very young. I was for 15 years, got over some of it but the whole seafood thing I can't get over. Wish I could.

My life is very unremarkable, but here goes:

Shook hands with Bill Clinton

"Sang" onstage with Barry Manilow -- twice

Shook hand with Mel Brooks

Visited Israel -- twice

Visited Bethelem

Visited Vatican City

Have been to the top of the World Trade Center

Won $1,000 in Las Vegas

Was interviewed on Washington, D.C. TV the day after Princess Diana died (I had no idea I was on TV until years later when someone told me)

I've met both Pumba (Ernie Sabella) and "Timon" (Nathan Lane) together

Because of the last job DH used to do:
-I've met President Bush twice
-Been on HMX-1
-Toured Camp David
-Watched the 4th of July fireworks on the White House lawn

-Married my high school sweetheart and we are still together almost 7 years and 4 kids later.
-Was next door room neighbor with Lionel Ritchie during our honeymoon, he was really nice
-Attended a reggae concert in Jamaica that included little kids walking around selling dime bags
-Frequently take 10 hour trips by myself with 4 kids under 6
-Was pregnant on my wedding day
-Had my first baby on his due date which was the day before Thanksgiving
-Almost died giving birth to my third child. Was visiting my parents and went to the ER for what I thought was severe back pain. The doctor first thought it was my gallbladder and next thing I know a bunch of doctors rush to my room and whisk me away to the surgery room. Scariest day of my life and husband was halfway across the world. I later found out I had developed HELPP Syndrome even though it had been an uneventful pregnancy up until that point.
-Have been to a couple of Yankees ticker-tape parades
-Met the Backstreet Boys twice back in my teeny bopper days. Once was by flirting my way onto an airplane runway, this was pre-9/11.
-Been to the Montel Wlliams show
-My first solo, well I had my 11 month old son with me, airplane ride was from VA to CA. I'm so scared of flying so it was a big deal to me. We are most likely moving to Japan by the end of the year and I'm already stressing out about the plane ride. :scared1:

That's all I can think of right now.

MickeyMom3: I have been afraid of anything with claws since early childhood. When my husband and I moved to Cape Cod I couldn't leave the house because every place had lobsters. So into therapy I went. I tried a year. It didn't work; it was easier to move.

Great thread! I have loved reading everyone's posts. :goodvibes

*Worked as a tour guide at WDW with one of the Backstreet Boys

*Worked crowd control in front of the stage for a New Kids on the Block concert

Wow, I can't even come close to the exciting things all of you have done. I thought I had 2 things that were unique on this thread and then someone beat me to one of mine...but here mine are.

Saw "THE Beatles" in concert...the last one they gave in Philadelphia before they broke up

Toured Camp David just before 9/11 and sat in some of the chairs the President's sit in

Kissed by Ben Affleck, and gave advice to Helen Mirren about coaching someone through a delivery. Oh, and accused by Bruce Willis of trying to poison him (but he wasn't actually serious, but he wasn't really joking either:lmao:)
