Is it possible to do a name change (from one adult to another) on a WDW package (room and tickets) without a fee. The name would be changed in the last couple of weeks before the start date of the package.
Thank you

Officially it is not transferrable, especially if it was with a discount.

O dear, then would I be able to cancel one person (without a fee) and then the next day, call back and add a person (without a fee). This would be for a possible discounted 2006 MYW package
Thank you

It won't be the lead name. This is the scenario , perhaps someone could give me an opinion.

It will be me and the two kids definately. I have asked my mom to join us but she is the primary caregiver to a terminally ill cancer patient (my dad). Right now dad is doing great but as some of you may know, with cancer things can change very quickly. If she has to cancel it will be at the last minute due to dad not doing well. If this happens, at that time, DH is going to talk to his employer about taking a leave of absence (he will have no vacation days left).

So therefore, if this is the case, it will be me and just the two kids or me, DH and hte two kids.

As I mentioned, dad currently is doing amazing (considering in March of this year we were told he had one week left max). I told dad maybe we should just cancel the whole trip, but he started to cry when I told him that, he has the kindest heart and he would be heart broken if we didn't do this trip.

Any suggestions? Right now we have a room only ressie and plan on buying tickets once we get there. But if a WDW discount package becomes available Nov 3 for our dates (Jan) I thought we should jump on that. But maybe we should just stick to the room only in case I have to cancel last minute.
Thanks
Suzy V

If it's not the main name on the reservation, you should be OK. I thought you meant you wanted to change it totally.

Suzy, have you called the resort you are staying at and told them the situation? They could perhaps "note" it on your reservation. I'd just ask them what you could/should do. I think since the person (you) who the ressie is under, is not changing, it should not be a problem.
