yeah, it must be a coincidence , like beanie babies......
Point it out in your article.

The dictionary definition of empirical evidence is evidence relating to or based on experience or observation. This type of evidence is necessary for a theory to be confirmed.
No where in your article has anything been observed or confirmed.
Well, show me any evidence or statistic on crime that is causal.
It is all empirical. It it all based on observation.
In 2009 there were less people in prison ( usually crime goes up )
We were in a deep recession ( almost always crime goes up )
Firearm sales hit all time highs and this had no effect? I disagree.
nope. That none of them attacked american airliners? Am I right ?
nope.
At least two of them were involved in plots to attack US airliners. The argument could be made that six of them were indirectly involved in plots to attack US airliners. How many of them did praytell?
If you are going to use an article to back your claim, it should prove your point. In your case, it couldn't. To then claim that it is all empirical evidence, at least understand what the term means.

Regardless, they are all terrorists that tried to kill Americans on US soil and none of them have traditional Muslim names.
Then you also understand that you haven't shown a link between gun ownership and reduced crime rates.I understand, I don't think you do?
I getcha. Because they weren't successful, they didn't attack. Just like Richard Reid didn't actually attack an airliner."That none of them attacked american airliners? Am I right ? "
That's what I said, and I'm wrong?![]()

A short while ago, there was a thread about gun ownership and someone presented an article that explained that areas of a city that have the highest degree of gun ownership also had the greatest level of crime. The poster tried to make the argument that criminals are therefore targeting gun owners. His conclusion was no more correct than yours.
I getcha. Because they weren't successful, they didn't attack. Just like Richard Reid didn't actually attack an airliner.
Righto Captain.

And Richard Reid aka Abdul Raheem DID attack an american airline, unlike anyone on that list you posted.
It doesn't really matter who attacked us in the past. What matters is who wants to attack us in the future. That is the whole point of airport security. The names in the post you are referring to plotted attacks, including airline attacks, so it is not only people with Muslim names who want to harm us or our government. McVeigh was a terrorist and just because he didn't use an airline to do it doesn't mean a like minded American terrorist wouldn't.
I also see how you conveniently didn't bother to comment on the plain old white American, Samuel Joseph Byck, that stormed onto a plane in 1974. Sure, that style of attack wouldn't work now but that doesn't matter. What matters is that you can't base future attacks on the name of a subset of past attackers. You have to profile the behavior not the appearance.
The Abdul Raheem part doesn't matter.".
Thank you for admitting I was right and you were wrong so charmingly![]()
Really? I didn't comment on Samuel Joseph Byck because he did not appear on that list. After a quick google, he was trying to hijack a plane to kill Nixon? Hardly a terrorist.
We are trying to prevent terrorist attacks on our airlines and you say " It doesn't really matter who attacked us in the past" Kind of naive.
And who ever mentioned anything about appearance? It sure was not me.
Oh , now it doesn't matter. Got it.
