This is the my first trip report, so hopefully I will have a few readers.

This trip was born out of my Disney obsession. I was converted on our first trip to the World and 2008. However, I didn't anticipate the "Disney blues" that would follow. Amazingly, the promise of another trip on the horizon, has made me feel much better. :thumbsup2

CAST:
Me: Melissa or, as everyone affectionately calls me, MayMay -30. I'm just your regular Disney addict who has to get her fix on the DIS everyday!

I don't have many pictures of me, so here's one from Easter 2009.

DH: Rocky - 32. He is my best friend. We've been married for 10 wonderful years and we have never looked back. He works in a warehouse by day and is a superhero by night (by that I mean he is a non-paid youth pastor for our church :)) He would never admit it but he loves Disney just as much as I do.

DS: Noah-8yrs old. Loves all things Disney, specially Stitch. Loves the rollercoasters, but wasn't tall enough for RnRc last year.

DD: Bekah- 4yrs Loves princesses and is a girly girl. Only liked the face characters in 2008. Hated that everything was so loud and had to be escorted out of several shows by DH.

DBFF's - Our best friends Karla and Russell will be coming along with us on this trip. They went with us in 2008 and we can't imagine the trip without them. They love Disney but have left the planning up to me. (Little did they know they wouldn't be given a choice! )

Karla: She's like me, doesn't like to have her picture taken.

DGS: - 5 yrs. My energetic Godson Javan. He is the protector of my DD. He looks after her like a mother hen. They are best friends. Loves everything Toy Story!

WHEN:
September 4-11, 2010

WHERE:
POP Century

WHY:
Do I really need to answer that?;)

hey someone from my area. I'm from a little futher north in SC. Also I have family in Senca with the last name Nabors. Small world huh.

I've never had a problem convincing my husband to shell out the $ for a Disney trip. I cannot, however convince him to spend the $ on flying. It could be his fear of heights, it could be the $, but I'm thinking it has more to do with the former. ;)

So, the plan was to rent a Ford Expedition with an extended trunk so we could fit all 7 of us plus our luggage. We were going to leave around 8 o'clock and drive through the night. Russell and Rocky would take turns. That way the kids would sleep and the trip wouldn't be so long for them. Since we live in SC, it should take us at least 9 hrs to get there so we should be there early. Wasn't really what I wanted but we had an extra day on our tickets so the thought was to go to a park that day.

Unfortunately at 7:30, Russell was still at work. So, they didn't get here with the Expedition until after 8:30pm. It took us a while to maneuver everything around so we could fit all the luggage. I had put the kids in their PJ's already so we got them settled in the 3rd row and we were off to......PETE'S.

Everyone was hungry so we took the time to sit down for dinner at a local diner. So with bellies and the gas tank full, we were off. It was 10:30 by the time we got out of Easley.

The ride down was uneventful. The kids slept most of the way. We started them off with a movie and they were asleep in no time. Russell drove the whole way down. Which meant I didn't sleep very well. He has been known to fall asleep at the wheel, so I try to stay awake so he will stay awake. He did fine, though. We made good time, though and made it to POP by 7:00am.

There was only a few people in the lobby this early so I went straight to the online check-in line and we had our KTTW cards in just a few short minutes. We did our potty breaks and looked through the lobby for a few. I freshened up and changed my clothes and we realized we were all starving.

We got back in the car and headed toward Waffle House. We had a wonderful waitress who had us laughing and the kids in a good mood. While we were there, we decided that we would go to Hollywood Studios. We all love this park and the kids were anxious to ride TSM. Our rooms wouldn't be ready for a while so we had some time to kill.

So we were off to our first day in the park. We were so excited.....

:wave2:It is a small world. I've only seen a few people from SC on here. I'm assuming you are snowed in today too. We have seen so much snow here, we are sick of it. Well, not the kids, but still. ;)

So, we were off to Hollywood Studios. We were finally in Disney!

BTW, I don't know if it was the lack of sleep or what but we didn't take many picutres today. :confused3

The kids were so excited to finally be in Disney. They knew exactly what they wanted to do. Toy Story Mania. It had been one their favorites the last time. Like any good planner, I knew that it would be crowded. We had missed rope drop and I knew we would have to wait a while. So, we took our time and just took in the sights and smells. :lovestruc

As we were walking down towards TSM, we saw this in the sky...

We had heard about this skywriter but it was really cool. We watched him for a while. Then we decided to get on the Great Movie Ride. My godson however, decided that he didn't want to do it and proceeded to have a melt down. Poor guy. I know he was tired from the trip. So him and Russell found a bench and took a time out.

We walked through and were the next in line to get on the boat. Last time, Bekah was only 2 yrs old. She hated all of the dark rides and everything was really loud to her. I'm happy to report she love this ride. She did cover her ears during the "shooting" and covered her eyes when the alien came out of the ceiling. But she absolutely loved the Wizard of Oz room. That's her favorite movie!

Up next, TSM! We had to wait 90 minutes in line for this one. It would be the longest wait we would have all week. But the kids wanted to ride it so we made the best of it. The kids loved the talking Mr. Potato Head. We had never seen it. We'd only gone through the FastPass line last time.

Bekah rode with me, I got 93,000 and she got 9,600. She's still learning. Rock got 103,000 and Noah got 56,000. At least I beat the kids. :rotfl:

The kids were getting a little hungry by now so we got some popcorn and drink for ours. We let them sit and eat for a while.

We then headed to....Indiana Jones. I had not been able to see this last time. Since Bekah hated the loud shows I stayed outside with her on this one. I'm happy to say that Bekah liked it. It was still a little loud for her but we covered her ears so it was okay. Noah absolutely loves this show. It is definitely one of his favorites.

It was getting close to 1:30pm by now so we headed to the car to go to POP to see if our rooms were ready yet.
Here we are on the tram heading to the car.

Were the rooms ready? Did we make our ADR at T-REX? Stay tuned to find out!

I've been making the most of it. Reading trip reports and getting some cleaning done.

I love TSM. My nephew has it on the wii and it's fun too.
