MYW Package question--pre-purchase tickets/room only???

Does anyone know if we pre-purchase tickets through a ticket broker can we add the meal plan when we get to Disney? We have a room-only ressie right now but I go back and forth about the meal plan. Most of the sit-down resturants are not accepting the new meal plan and I am thinking that would make the few that do take the meal plan VERY busy. We are staying at AKL, so we could eat there several nights, I guess. Anyone used the new meal plan yet?

The ONLY way that you can purchase the meal plan is in a package with tickets.

You would have to cancel and rebook your room only reservation.

Sorry - you can only get the dining plan with a package (room and MYW tickets). It can not be added on to a room-only reservation.

I am satisfied with the number of table-service restaurants, although it would be nice if more Epcot World Showcase restaurants would be added (they are not owned by Disney, but are third-party owned and managed).

In addition the dining plan must be added at least 48 hours prior to arrival!!

The My Way package is booked in a different way than room only. You would have to cancel your room only completely and start over. And like the others said, you have to purchase tickets along with your room to add the meal plan option.

As others have said here, you must purchase tickets with the MYW dining. In our case, we had 5 day hopper passes with two plus options that are unused. Since we are going for a longer vacation, I just purchased a one day base ticket in our package to add on the dining portion. This way we get the dining plus we have another day to spend in the parks Just another thought.

The dining must be for the entire length of your stay. But tickets can be any length as long as everyone in the party has the same tickets.

Thanks! Now that I looked at my post again, I see I should have been more specific. The one day base ticket I purchased was for all four of us and we are staying 8 nights so we have 8 snacks, 8 counter service, and 8 table services for each of us.
