We had the dining plan for eight nights and loved it. We would absolutely do it again. IMO, this plan is only worth it if you have a discounted room or just want to prepay for food. We thought all the food was good some quite exceptional (Spoodles, Jiko, Narcoossees andTusker House's Choclate Cake are a few things.) We took the time to make PS's ahead of our trip but changed many in the mornings, with no problems. We stayed an additional three days without the plan and quite frankly enjoyed not being on the plan and having counter service. I think you find yourself planning alot around the sit downs but this plan allows you to enjoy a variety of wonderful food. We also shared some sit downs with no problems. Enjoy eating your way throught Disney...vacations let you do that. :earsboy:

Thanks for the report.....glad to hear more & more positives about this plan. We think its great and can't wait to use it. :Pinkbounc

Thanks for sharing. That sounds like you save lots of money. So Tangerine Cafe is on the plan. I think we might try it. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves.

Thanks for sharing your experience! We're looking forward to using the dining plan.

I would love to hear more about the dining experience, itself, (rather than just the savings) especially at Spoodles, Tangierine Cafe, Narcoosees, Cinderella's Royal Table, Jiko, Kona Cafe, and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Care to share? :flower:

Thank you for the great info. We are leaving on Friday with the MYW plan, and your post makes us look forward to it even more!

Thanks for sharing that, Betsy! We got the dining plan for our trip in June for our family of four, but reading it from someone who has actually used it makes me glad I did.

Regarding your shared meals, are they really that big that the two of you were satisfied? I know you shared with another adult, but could a meal be shared with a child (age 9), do you know?

I'm glad to hear you were able to purchase powerade with your snack options.

We had it for eight nights too and loved it. The portion sizes were big enough on the counter services that we able to feed two adults and two children (10yrs was counted as an adult) on three counter services for lunch and use adult CS in the mornings for extra breakfast food (adult breakfast) with some orders of toast which rounded off cereal in our room. We had made PS for Cyrstal Palace, O'hanas, Biergarten, Holloywood and Vine, Chef Mickeys and Princess Breakfast and were able to wing the others. Most of the CMs we encountered encouraged us to use the plan to its fullest, especially at the food court at CBR. We were able to order extra appetizers at TS with the other adult plan for my 10yr old so we could have a varied selection. We figured out our daily average for four was $170 and the plan was $115 - savings was 400+. Wouldn't go without it!

Thanks for the report! We're excited to use our MYW dining in July! I too would love to hear more about the shared meals -- didn't even think of that as an option, but I can see it happening, especially on a day when we've eaten a substantial CS meal as well! So, none of the restaurants mind if you share??

Most of the counter services have an order line, so one person places the order while the others find a seat and wait. It works well and its pretty fast.

Thank you so much for that report!!! We are going in July with the dining plan. I'm very excited to hear of the savings that you had. I can't wait to try it out myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

were there any limitations on the menu? I see you were allowed lobster at Narcoosees, how was that? How was the surf and turf? I'm dining there next month and would love to have lobster! :goodvibes
