Mystery Shopping Question

I have been mystery shopping for approximately 6 months now and have never had a problem with receiving payments. However, this month I received a completely random payment amount that had no relation to stated reimbursement. I have tried contacting the company (a supposedly reputable one), but haven't heard back from anyone.

Has anyone dealt with this problem? If so, how was it resolved?

I used to do a lot of mystery shopping myself. How long has it been since you tried to contact the company? Sometimes it takes a little while for someone to get back to you. Also, did you contact them via e-mail or phone? If e-mail, you may want to try to find a phone number for them.

Wow, very interesting how this info comes so soon after the popular response to the other post about making money on doing surveys at home. I sure hope there is not a fee to get involved with it or anything like that?

Nope no fees to mystery shop -- they pay you - not the other way around.

The web site I recommended is NOT a fee based scam. Anyone who wants money will probably sell you the information that is provided free of charge on the Volition this site. Don't pay anyone for this stuff...all the info you need can be found for FREE.

I only shop with companies listed through Volition, including the company that isn't paying me. I did not have to pay to shop with them, but I would like to be payed what they stated they would pay me.

Overall, my mystery shopping experiences have been positive. I've never had a problem before. I also do the online surveys and have never had a problem there.

I went to the Volition website and tried to enter, but I got a little nervous in putting in my bank account number.. Is this neccessary? I am a mystery shopper for another company and they didn't ask for an account number.. We had the option of just having it mailed... What do you think???

Is asking for account info normal?

What company are you trying to sign up with? I have never given out my account number. Some companies ask for your SSN for tax purposes, which is legit. But no one has my account numbers. I either get a check in the mail or get paid through paypal.

BAI is legit. It is up to you whether you feel comfortable giving out that info, but they have been around a long time and are a reputable company. If you want to pm me, I can give you a list of companies that are good.

Those who work for many many companies know that business is done differently here and there. Quite a few companies ask for your bank account number as they pay by direct deposit only (it is wonderful), others want you to have Paypal to accept payments, a few still mail checks although its beginning to be more and more direct deposit and paypal.

Volition has quite a few businesess listed. How can I be sure which are good to work for?

I feel that I need to start generating some income for our household and this might be a good direction. I also do ebay and half so I've got a small start but need to do a bit more.

Has anyone ever participated in the Amusement parks mystery shoppers? I was wondering if it was worth the time. Sounds nice, but if you only visit places a few times a year, could it be a waste of time for the company and me?

I do Mystery Shopping for a company that does shops at a popular coffee shop! Got four to do this coming weekend.

They are always recruiting, so sign up with them, go thru their tutorial, take a little on-line test, and you're you can self assign yourself to do the shops.
