Also I went back thru posts and wrote down the clues in order and saw these two phrases came up, one of which is today by the hour glass.
"Watch the Time"
"Watch the Clock"

Ok, some thoughts:

You can see alot more of the map now.... you can now see the UK by the Morse Code strip.

Anyone remember if you could see any other character on the newspaper? Today you can clearly see Snow White.. hmmmmmm Germany?

The compass is showing more North than ever before. Again you see the fountain pens.

When you click on the tea there is a sound, but it sorta sounds like the coins, which you no longer see. The china is very stylized.

Lastly, has anyone noticed the icon that you click on for the Mystery At Sea on the home page? It is a bit different and it shows a telescope as well as the cup of tea.

I bet it will be Wednesday before we see another clue.

Debbie

Good thoughts Debbie!

I am wondering if the changes in the compas relate to the last 3 points on the navigational map. See how the ship is now moving north and the compas, while still set for the East is pointing more to the North.

Wheb the clies started I was copying the screens, to make a log of everything, but, I've gotten behind. Has anyone done this? If so, I would love a copy of the document to keep once DCL makes their announcement.

On the DCL page, do you thing the Magic will end up back in Florida by the 21st when the announcement is made, ot do you think it will end up at the destination of the new cruises? They sure keep us guessing!

On the china saucer, it looks like the Olympic Flame......GREECE?? Coins looked like the 5 circles of the Olympics as well???

I typed in Chile in the Mediterranean in Google and came up with the following on a website dedicated to botany in South America:

"The Mediterranean region in central Chile (picture) (Rundel 1981) is a strip c. 100 km wide along the continental margin, comprising three physiographic areas: Cordillera de la Costa, Valle Central and Andean Cordillera up to c. 1800 m (CONAF 1982). The soils are poorly developed, coarse and shallow."

Essentially it states there is a Mediterranean region of vegetative growth in central Chile.

The person that did this page is just amazing. When you put the cursor over the newspaper it crinkles. Difficult to hear with the ocean sound, but it is there. Also when you mouse over the compass it tinkles --well it only did that once. Closely listening to the morse code has appropriate "static"

Fantastic job

Debbie

I've been listening to the sounds also. Actually the "tinkling" is random up over the fountain pens and if you listen a few times it sounds like wind chimes. Also you can get the sound of birds, almost sounds like sea gulls on occasion up by the morse code area. Both the bird sounds and the wind chimes were somewhat random and I haven't figured out exactly when you do get them but I have repeated them several times. I also noticed the sounds when you click on the newspaper. Sometimes it sounds like paper crumpling other times like a cameral clicking photos fast.

You guys are doing great at this! :cool1: Keep up the great work!! :thumbsup2

Hi Tracy....I haven't talked to you for a long time! :wave2:

On the start page, (brown) the same logo is there that is on the cup. When you use the ZOOM IN feature, you can see that it is a cruise ship from the front and not an Olympic Flame....

I have way too much time on my hands tonight but this sure is fun. If the newspaper is the South African Society then it refers to the
website that sates the following on it's home page:

Welcome to the Home page of the
South Africa Society.
The official U.K. Society for South Africans and friends of Southern Africa.

In looking briefly at the site, it is dedicated to linking those British citizens living in South Africa, so another link back to England.

Isn't it more likely the North African Society?
If the ship goes into the Med, it has to pass between Spain and Morocco in North Africa.

She thinks we're going to cruise Northern Europe because Disney will sail to the places where many of the storybook characters come from...

Snow White - Germany
The Little Mermaid - Denmark (near Amsterdam.. right?)
101 Dalmatian - London (also from the newspaper headline: "Disney Magic Spotted!" Spotted as in the Dalmatians)
Beauty and the Beast and Hunchback of Notre Dame - France

The other big clue she picked up was from the message on the bottom of the page: "Tomorrow an international committee will be formed to dive deeper into the matter."
She suggested "dive deeper" relates to "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" by "Jules Verne". We searched wikipedia, found that Jules Verne had 3 ships called Saint-Michel I, Saint-Michel II and Saint-Michel III (the coins showed St. Michael or something like it). There's other info relating to some of the clues. Can someone please look into this? Thanks.
:hippie: She'll be reading this thread after school tomorrow. So, do your homework. :teacher: :wave2:

Wow tic-toc-croc, I like your DD's idea. :thumbsup2 That would be an amazing trip to tie in all of Disney's most famous movies. And the tie in with Verne's ships makes perfect sense to me. All the clues so far seem to match with what she's proposed.

Just wanted to post to say that you all are too cool! I'm always amazed at how fanatic Disney fanatics are.

Disney Magic at its finest! :wizard:

The intelligence, imagination, and wit of Dissers is inspiring to me :cheer2:

OK, I went back and don't see this posted yet - but if it already has been, sorry.

The morse code dtd March 10th reads something like this:

Imagine awaits. Hot lava has gone to the birds.

Your guess is as good as mine :confused3 Hawaii springs to mind...but maybe Pompeii? Or as has been mentioned before...maybe the IT guys are just sitting back laughing at us LOL

I personally vote for Alaska - maybe if they sail from BC us Canadians will be the ones to sleep in on debarkation morning :lmao:
Seriously - I think they could open up a whole other revenue source for DCL from western Canada. Not many travel to FL for WDW or DCL because the airfare is fairly expensive - so leaving from Vancouver might allow some western Canadians an option to try out DCL that they otherwise wouldn't have taken. (Not to mention I can fly out there with my Airmiles LOL)

On our Med cruise last year we passed an active Volcano, Stomboli!!

Okay, I've read through so many clues on this thread I can't remember if I saw this or not, but check it out:

http://dnn.chrismedia.co.uk/topstory.htm

Disneyland Paris 15th anniversary? Considering how big Disney is into anniversaries, that has to be it.

And as someone else posted on another thread:
"And in 2008, it is the 25th Anniversary (April 15, 1983) of Disneyland Tokyo, ergo Hongkong and New Zealand. Last stop, Alaska."

If you're going to cross the pacific, the only place to do it is in the north. Tokyo to Alaska makes sense. Airplanes basically do that all the time.

Oh It most DEFINITELY has to be where there is a Disneyland. Like the 12 yr olds observation, as it sails where the characters originated from and there is also a Disneyland there.
