Mystery at Sea

I'm totally confused! Longitude and Latitude pointing to Sitka, Alaska as well as the Queen quote could also be referring to Victoria - couldn't it? But, I can't seem to imagine how they could do Alaska with open pool areas. On the other hand the postcard with Monkeys and looks like Gibraltor - sounds like the Med.... I feel like I'm in The Princess Bride when Wesley fights Fezzik the Giant.

Wesley: "Are you just messing with me or what?",
Fezzik: "I just want you to feel like you're doing well"....

:confused3 :badpc:

I am very surprised the Mystery At Sea site was not updated today.

Maybe we should start taking bets when the new page will appear. I am waiting and waiting and waiting... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm positive that it's Hawaii and Alaska. I have a "source" who works at Disney and he confirms it. I'm packing my bags and getting ready for Hawaii!!!

I hope you are a great swimmer. The Magic is going east, not west.

:rotfl2:

I think they just updated the page. The code tape has moved and there is a new set of coordinates and the article mentions "3 miles west of Chile" That is in the Pacific

As I posted earlier the spanish phrase translates I think to the great ship was here and then gone. The cup now shows a tea bag in it, as well.

OK now DCL really is just messin' with us! :rotfl2:
What is the funny noise when you click on the mug before the liquid starts to bubble? Sounds sort of like an old car having starter trouble? I don't know, but I am having fun with the whole game!!! :confused3

Can't wait until the 21st! :surfweb:

The coordinates today are for Amsterdam. I'm having trouble translating the message but I have "The great ship was ____ and then was gone."

Tracey - I think the translation is ...was here and then gone....as noted earlier - unless it has changed, but I don't think so.

Havn't gotten many more clues regarding Alaska - seems Med bound to me.

OK, I went back and don't see this posted yet - but if it already has been, sorry.

The morse code dtd March 10th reads something like this:

Imagine awaits. Hot lava has gone to the birds.

Your guess is as good as mine :confused3 Hawaii springs to mind...but maybe Pompeii? Or as has been mentioned before...maybe the IT guys are just sitting back laughing at us LOL

I personally vote for Alaska - maybe if they sail from BC us Canadians will be the ones to sleep in on debarkation morning :lmao:
Seriously - I think they could open up a whole other revenue source for DCL from western Canada. Not many travel to FL for WDW or DCL because the airfare is fairly expensive - so leaving from Vancouver might allow some western Canadians an option to try out DCL that they otherwise wouldn't have taken. (Not to mention I can fly out there with my Airmiles LOL)

Did you guys see the print next to the hourglass? The print is small, but I think it says that, "Experts say that a big announcement is around the corner." It's the same hourglass from the other day. There were three hourglasses the other day. I wonder if there are three parts to the big announcement?

I think I read somewhere that the next ship will be called Imagine.

New ship and new ports of call. Can it get any better? :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc

Come on DCL - the only place the Morse Code is is inverted on the screen - they must have decided that we were too quick for them, because it is not in the newspaper article this time.

Has anyone else noticed that all of the newspapers have been from former British colonies?
Hong Kong
New Zealand
South Africa

In the Med - Gibralter is still a British Crown Colony and Malta is a former colony.

Bermuda is a British Crown Colony, the Bahamas are a former colony.

Also, the Lat/Long is Amsterdam, Holland, which the British took the South Africa colony away from.

And – getting a bit over the edge here - If you draw a line from Johannesburg South Africa to Amsterdam – it passes over the Island of Malta in the Med.

And then there is the Single Hourglass in the Newspaper saying the announcement is just around the corner.

Good brain teaser

i think the locations are like a roulette wheel, just random until the 21st when it drops on the new home port for summer 2007.

Ok, some thoughts:

You can see alot more of the map now.... you can now see the UK by the Morse Code strip.

Anyone remember if you could see any other character on the newspaper? Today you can clearly see Snow White.. hmmmmmm Germany?

The compass is showing more North than ever before. Again you see the fountain pens.

When you click on the tea there is a sound, but it sorta sounds like the coins, which you no longer see. The china is very stylized.

Lastly, has anyone noticed the icon that you click on for the Mystery At Sea on the home page? It is a bit different and it shows a telescope as well as the cup of tea.

I bet it will be Wednesday before we see another clue.

Debbie

OK...I am going to guess, and before I do, I went on DCL's site last night and saw King Kong, I read the last (yes, only the last) page of this thread and saw someone mention Bermuda.

So my guess is >.>>>>>>>>>>>....>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

NEW YORK TO BERMUDA

Anyone agree????????????

freetranslator.com says the spanish pharse means

the great ship was there and then was gone

I think the Morse Code is upside down because everything is now. Almost seems like we are seeing "parts of a big whole" map. I can't remember what the map below looked like before but the tea, pens, etc. seem to be in the same place, just that we are seeing them from a different angle.

Also I went back thru posts and wrote down the clues in order and saw these two phrases came up, one of which is today by the hour glass.
"Watch the Time"
"Watch the Clock"
