MyPoints - Whatcha Gonna Do?

Anyone know what's going on at MyPoints? I'm trying to decide whether to cash in for a $5 GC, or wait it out. What are you guys doing?

As long as I still get bonus emails from mypoints almost everyday, I'll wait to cash out. If those start to dry up, then I'll have to think again.

Well, two of us here have only a few points because we cashed out not to log ago, but mom and brother are just a few points away from a webcert and they are going to wait and see if they can get enough bonus mails to cash out.

Please. please do not tell me that there is a probblem with MyPoints? I noticed today when I went to the site that there is no "daily tour" available. Did I miss some kind of announcement, negative or otherwise, regarding MyPoints? Please update me!!

MyPoints was bought out by someone a week or two ago..can't remember who, but a travel concern...an airline maybe. Then the Daily Tour disappeared yesterday.

I'm at 791 points...I think I was at 777 points when FR closed up, so it feels really ominous (sp?) to me.

Just found this posted on TOS:

"My dad wrote MyPoints yesterday. This was their reply:

"We would like to apologize for any confusion that has arisen relative to the removal of the MyPoints Daily Tour award. We are currently evaluating several different options for presenting the award going forward. As you know we are always adding new, exciting and valuable offers to the MyPoints Web site so please check back with us soon."

Okay...that sounds too familiar to me. I think I'll cash out for now, but keep up with my BonusMails.

My position is the same as LI Debbie. As long as the bonus mail keeps coming, I'll hold on. When it stops, I'll have to reevaluate the situation. Hopefully, new point earning opportunities will surface.

I cashed out for a $10 Webbie. Will still do the Bonus Mails and see what other point offers will come up, and hopefully can get back up to another webbie.

United Airlines bought Mypoints a little while back.

We have a small (i.e., non-Disney!) vacation coming up in August. DH and I just cashed out for Webbies. Didn't want to risk waiting and then not getting the $$ in time. We'll still do Bonus Mails for as long as they're available, but the sure thing was far more enticing! Thank goodness for Searchcactus! At least we're guaranteed something every month.

So far....I like this way better. I am getting alot more mail with bonus links in them. Usually yes and no answers.

I really think I am collecting more points this way. I will have to go back and check for sure.

As long as the emails keep up, I am happy!
