Usually for Disney I cash out for Laundry's giftcards and just let the rest of my points rollover until I need something else for Disney, but I'd love to be able to actually cash out for actual money deposited into my paypal account.

As far as the Walgreens thing goes, I've noticed all the Walgreens stores around here also have the signs saying you cannot use a giftcard to purchase a giftcard (which really stinks cause I'd love some Disney giftcards to help with all those souvenirs).

However, next time I'm at walmart or target I'm gonna check and see if either of them sell Disney giftcards and see what the story is with using their store giftcards to purchase other giftcards.

If mypoints would just add Disney giftcards as one of their rewards it'd be so much easier!

Visa GC's do expire, but you would be able to use them at Disney instead of having to worry about cashing them in for a Disney card.

True, but Visa giftcards have an activation fee which you'd have to pay at Target or Walmart. So there wouldn't be any savings there going that route.

the points for Paypal is so much higher than if you get the same $$ in a gift card though.......... good idea about the Walgreens card though. But if your Walgreens won't let you do that and you shop at Walgreens anyways (esp. if you have regular prescriptions), then you just use your g.c. to pay for that stuff and use the money you would have spent on gift cards....

We're going to T-Rex Cafe anyways on our Disney trip and I was bummed that we were going to have to pay OOP since that restaurant isn't included in the Dining Plan (we got free dining) and then I was PSYCHED to see the Landry's gift cards on Mypoints, lol. I ordered a $25 card a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten it yet. I'll have enough points for another $25 card in a few weeks but I don't know if I'll receive it in time for our trip...... if not, i will just save it and use it at Rainforest at some point or another. We usually end up there once a year or so for one of the kids' b-days.

Does anyone know if there are any restaurants at Downtown Disney DLR that you can use any of the MyPoints giftcards for? We're going on our first trip to DLR next June, and I'd like to use the points I have to redeem for any type of food there.

(I have actually used the Walgreens giftcards for Disney cards, but it looks like that might become an issue soon. I'd like to try for something that I know we can definitely use for food there, if possible.)

I used a WG GC to buy a Disney GC this fall. I didn't even tell them I wanted to pay with a gift card. I handed him the Disney card, he hit total, and I swiped the WG GC. For those of you shot down (that aren't at a store with a posted sign), are you telling them what you're trying to do? If so, perhaps you could just swipe instead without bringing attention to it.

The Paypal option is there. To find it click "All Rewards" Then click on the letter "P". It's the second or third option. It's a lot of points though - 4,450 for $25 vs. the 3,750 for a Walgreens $25 GC. There is also an option for $50 into your Paypal account which is 8,800 points (a savings of 100 pts vs doing the $25 twice). I think I'm going to start doing this to save for our next trip. Every time I get 8,800 points I'll add it to my paypal account then send it to a savings account. Hmmmm, I wonder how long it will take me to save $4,000 with mypoints.

Waiting for my first $50 Walgreens gift card from my points now. I want to try to get the Disney GC with it. Last time I got the WalMart GC figuring that I get the most for my money there.
I will be getting a gallon of milk with my gift card, thank you very much!
Any one have trouble getting their GC? My first redenption, I never received, so I had to contact them 3 times, and they finialy replaced it.

I purchased about $500 worth of gift cards for our trip in September through My Points and Walgreens. I happened to visit three different Walgreens in our area and I didn't have a problem at any of them. I originally started out buying something small at the same time but when I didn't have any problems doing it - I just bought a gift card. No one ever gave me any problems about it.

I think I saw something in CVS's ad one time that said you couldn't use a gift card to buy another gift card.

I just converted 3 Walgreens gift cards today from Mypoints into 3 Disney Gift cards. The only signs ours had was that there were no refunds on gift cards.

then clicked on Internet & Online
and then Paypal is listed in alphabetical order
its 4,450 points for $25 gift card
and over 8000 for a $50 one.

They also have Visa gift cards for about the same

I do all the click thrus, buy any EBay through them, the surveys, which are usually 5-10 points only. I use their search bar, try to use coupons thru them and always try to do any online purchases through them. I even bought a dishwasher through their daily deals.
But it takes forever to get $50.

Unfortunately, I am addicted to Lancome. It is the only thing I order from MyPoints, but it pays 2,000 points for every $45 order! They recently had a special promotion where you'd get double points for your purchase and Lancome was one of the participating merchants. I bought my facial cleanser and exfoliant, paid $50, got a bunch of free samples with it and racked in 4,000 points!

I know how to work the system too...I went to EBates first, bought a $50 e-gift certificate to Lancome (earned 11% at the time...only 7% now) and turned around and used that to make the purchase through MyPoints. So, I spent $50...then subtract the 11% rebate (-$5.50)...then got 4,000 in MyPoints (worth a $25 gift card to almost anywhere)...so, I got all my Lancome products for a net outlay of about $19.50.

Now, whenever I buy Lancome, I buy the GC from Ebates first. That way, I get a little cash (about $3.50) on top of my 2,000 MyPoints. Since we only take one trip per year, I can usually earn enough for at least $150 in gift cards.

I did ALL of my Christmas shopping through MyPoints this year so I racked up a bunch of points that way. I shop with their grocery coupons, and I check the Daily Deals (my BF and his brother bought laptops through a Daily Deals email which I got the points for), plus I click the emails and do the surveys. It's slow going, but before I buy anything, I check to see if it's available through MyPoints first.
