Any rumours as to when AP Holders might be getting this without a Resort Reservation?

Also, once someone has the Magic Band, can they make FP+ reservations beyond their stay?

That's why. You're still a resort guest, regardless of what ticket you hold.

AP holders are supposed to get MagicBands for free as well without needing a resort stay, but they haven't opened that up yet.

Other non-resort guests will eventually be able to purchase one (although getting a night at a value could be a cheaper way... :) )

Sorry if this has been recently addressed, but we did not get MBs (unfortunately) but when I click on FastPass+ on the dw website, it leads me to the current week's calendar and states something to the effect that we aren't in the right time period.

So does this mean, that even though we don't have the MBs, we will be able to use FastPass+ and pre select our fast passes next week (We leave next Wednesday).

I'm ok without the MB, but would really love to have access to the FastPass+ system through the app.

Also, we are staying at Coronado. Are the chances slim that if we asked for the bands, that they'd be able to give some to us at check in?

I don't think you will get them.. Only b/c MB have been getting sent out around the 30 day mark.

I would still ask at check in! If your in a Disney resort that has them.. I see no reason why the wouldn't give them to you..

I see..
I wonder if Disney will limited the amount AP can have each month?

Any know what the price will be for off-site?

I also wonder Why Disney has made it open to all...
Wouldn't it be ANOTHER GOOD benefit of staying on property?

No rumors, but I believe the most recent Monitor said "in the coming months", and even said something about Fastpass+ sooner than that.

Yes, once you have the band, you can make FP+ reservations for a total of up to 14 days.

Only 14 days is slightly disappointing, since we are there for a month. :lmao: Guess we will have to see what happens. Maybe AP Holders will get access to FP+ before our trip or sometime during our trip. :)

Thanks for the information.

There is already a limit of 14 outstanding FP+ days, applied to everyone including those with more than 14 days worth of valid park entries. It is not per-month, it is total. When you use a day (or it expires), you can book for another day.

Not even hinted at yet.

Not that can of worms again...but:

1) MagicBands: The point of them is to generate more revenue. They want that revenue from everyone :)

2) Fastpass+: Fastpass is currently available to everyone. If they replace it with a system that is not, then it leaves a class of guest at a serious disadvantage and will alienate them.

Note that these are TWO different systems. One is not required for the other. They just happen to be rolling out at the same time, to the same class of guests, for now.

In 14 days, you will have been able to visit each of the four major parks at least three times, and had a FP+ for each major attraction at least once.

I wonder if its a rolling 14 day... Not sure if I remember anyone saying that as soon as they used day 1 FP+, they were able to book day 15 and so on...

We're not just visiting WDW and some of the days will be non park days, especially days with MNSSHP and MVMCP. :) Thanks for the great info :)

Then you don't need to book FP+ on those days, and it won't count to your total. :)

Yes, it is...I said it above. :)

That all sound good..
I guess it would be fair, for every who had FP- not to have FP+..

I wonder if the cost of everyone Having a MB is cheaper then printing FP- tickets?

So, can anyone get FastPass+ through the app? and how soon in advance can these be chosen?

I find it comical that Disney sends out an email asking if you want to partake in the "testing" a week before your customization window closes, and well after the 60 day window for selecting FP selection opens.

If you aren't in the know and follow certain blogs/websites you'd have no idea what you could've potentially missed if you didn't start earlier.

Luckily since only a small % of guests are eligible for the testing, if you didn't know and got the information only a month out from your trip there is a decent chance that the FPs you want could be booked, or only available at bad times.

It seems people are getting their customized bands 30 days prior to arrival. That puts Nov. 1 arrivals VERY close....They'd be under 45 days right now. Giving them approx 2 weeks to figure it all out. I am thinking (and HOPING) they start to open November by Friday?

who has done the FP+ for fantasmic??,wondering if it's a great view, since they are certain viewing areas with the fp+ for fantasmic, wishes,ep etc.:goodvibes

There is no 60-day window right now. You can't book FP+ until they let you, and that has been well under 60 days so far.

I also don't think the 30 days is a hard limit - it depends I think on your awareness of it. If you never logged in, and it got inside 30 days, and THEN you logged in, you'd probably still have some time. Hard to tell right now, but you are supposed to have down to 6 days to customize.

I got my invite via e-mail and snail mail the day after our MB arrived. :rotfl:

I became aware we were eligible when I logged in MDE and the option popped but if I hadn't I would have seen postings here a little later.

Me, too! Now I have to figure out how to schedule my FP+, I only get so far and then nothing happens. I'm sure I must be missing something along the way somewhere!:scratchin
