There is no 60-day window right now. You can't book FP+ until they let you, and that has been well under 60 days so far.

I also don't think the 30 days is a hard limit - it depends I think on your awareness of it. If you never logged in, and it got inside 30 days, and THEN you logged in, you'd probably still have some time. Hard to tell right now, but you are supposed to have down to 6 days to customize.

I'm arriving October 27th, I couldn't book FP+ reservations until 60 days out.

If you weren't in the know, and you didn't set up anything until you got said email you'd have roughly a month notice for attractions.

I find it comical that Disney sends out an email asking if you want to partake in the "testing" a week before your customization window closes, and well after the 60 day window for selecting FP selection opens.

If you aren't in the know and follow certain blogs/websites you'd have no idea what you could've potentially missed if you didn't start earlier.

Luckily since only a small % of guests are eligible for the testing, if you didn't know and got the information only a month out from your trip there is a decent chance that the FPs you want could be booked, or only available at bad times.

I did my online check-in at 60 days. No MB options then. I kept stalking the page hoping I would see something. Finally at 40 days out I got "10 days to customize your bands" and did that along with FP+ options (which I have made some changes to since then). Our customization window has closed as of today (Sept 23) with the order ready to send. We arrive Oct 23. You can make changes to the FPs right up til the time of the FP while you are in the parks. I made them at 40 days out, and while I probably did not have ALL the options available to me that I could have likely got at 60 days out, I would not say any of our options were horrible and we are working around at least one ADR or other plan every day already booked out 180 days in advance. There were top rides with times available throughout the day...Slash Mountain at 12:50, exposition Everest 2:25, TT 10 and 2:30 (different days), TSM 2:40, Kali 3:20. There were options all throughout the day and night (with a 4yo we don't go at night but there were lots of night options if we wanted). I am sure you will find something that works.

It seems people are getting their customized bands 30 days prior to arrival. That puts Nov. 1 arrivals VERY close....They'd be under 45 days right now. Giving them approx 2 weeks to figure it all out. I am thinking (and HOPING) they start to open November by Friday?

I had 10 days prior to my customization window closing (closes 30 days out) to select our bands. Supposedly they are completing our order as of today, Sept 23. We arrive Oct 23.

Are we able to get a Magic Band if we have a room reservation but no tickets attached in MDE yet? I know that we won't be able to prebook FP+ until we have the tickets attached but wondering about getting the Magic Band before we have purchased our new AP's.

You can use the Magic Bands for your room access, dining and room charges without doing FP+ or having tickets linked.

Nov. 1st is already under 40 days; 39 to be exact. Come on, Disney!

At this time no, and not sure if you will in the future.

What you CAN do, as a resort guest, is put the gift certificate on the room as a "prepayment", and then charge to the room using the band.

Ahhhh, that's fine, too. Essentially the same thing, as long as I can use my GC on my MB for purchases or charges, everything golden.

EDIT: How does one pay for their TS dining with the MBs? Do they take the number down, or do I need to pass off my band...?

who has done the FP+ for fantasmic??,wondering if it's a great view,since they are certain viewing areas with the fp+ for fantasmic,wishes,ep etc.

I did the Fantasmic dinner package about two weeks ago, and the reserved seating that we had was combined with the seating for the people who had FP+ reservations. The reserved seating area was the two center sections all the way down to the front rows. I had heard that in the past, the dinner package reserved seating was in a side section, so I was surprised and happy when I was directed to the first or second mickey section, which are the middle two sections. We got there about 40 minutes before the show started, and got great seats about five rows back from the front. I had four open seats (spaces as it's bench seating) next to me when the show started, as it just wasn't that crowded. We sat on the aisle. The sections on the farthest left and farthest right in the theater were entirely empty when the show started.

Fwiw, If I wanted to move one section over to my right, I could have had front row seats. We decided on an aisle location directly in front of the stage and although we chose to be five rows back, it was open from three rows back in our section when we got there. Great seats, great show imo.

They have handheld scanners that can read the MagicBands.

It also doesn't come up on all the option tabs. It may show up on option B and on none of the others. So check each tab each time you make MK changes before selecting one.
