My experience was that they shipped the next day with UPS Next Day Air.

Mine are being shipped US mail parcel post according to my email. This may be because I had a PO Box number on it in addition to my physical address.

I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere but my head is spinning with all this info!! When did everyone receive their Official Magic Bands email/letter? We already know we are part of the testing group, have customized our bands and made our Fast pass+ reservations but we are still waiting on the Official invite! We spoke to a CM about reserving parades and fireworks but she said that we have to wait till we get officially invited before they will be available. We are 47 days out (Check in on Oct. 21st) and our last day to customize is Sept 20th so I am assuming it will be before then. I am curious to know how it's worked for everyone else!! Thanks!!

You will receive the office invite at day 17. That is when we got ours and others as well.

When the official invite comes, do you just go back through your reservations and add to them or do you replace one for the parade and/or fireworks?

I received my official invite at about 4 days after I customized my MB and 35 days out. I was somewhat confused by the email because it referenced that I was being invited because I was staying at Pop (true) and because I was a DVC member (false.) It doesn't really matter because I have my MB in hand (delivered today) and all FP+ selections have been made and revised and revised and revised....

Ok I feel a little better now. I didn't want Disney to start what Universal does.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards
I don't either but I bet that they will at some point. It's such a good way to make money.

I hope that I'm wrong.

I'm seeing the same problem, for me I know it's not due to having 2 profiles using 2 emails. Could it be from using different Disney login sites (e.g. Using the old GB site).
Also wondering if it's a problem with MB if don't see all my ADRs, since a number were made by my TA. I can see them under her name. TIA

you can have multiple profiles without multiple emails. One "known issue" is that they used to force different log ins for DVC and the rest of the disney site. You had to use different logins. They've since come up with a way to combine a dvc and non-dvc login but if you dont know what link to go to do it, or don't call to have them do it you would have 2 different profiles. My wife had that particular issue. Sounds like this MIGHT be you if you had different disney logins.

So having multiple emails seems like it might do a similar thing.

Alternatively, another example is if you have an 'old' reservation and then 'link my reservation' it only links properly to the person linking it. If there are other people on that reservation they will get new profiles 'managed by' the person that linked it in. If those people already had their own accounts you get duplicate profiles (that one is easy to fix- the ''linker" just has to invite the other party and it will automagically link. UNLESS of course they are under 13 - you can't 'invite' those people - in that case you have to call in and have them futz with things,)

Ok great so can still use KTTW card to get in the parks and can still use the old Fast Pass system?

Thanks

During this phase of testing, you can totally use your KTTW card and both fastpass+ or old fast passes...or both :)

I received my official invite at about 4 days after I customized my MB and 35 days out.

I never received an invite. I have received 2 of my 3 magic bands and at no time did I get an email about the parade and/or fireworks.

Thanks to everyone here on DIS - I knew to look and just keep looking. Have finally gotten my Wishes and Illuminations FP+ and am just waiting until my last band gets sent at which time I will then go in and make that Fantasmic FP+.

For the first two, I just went ahead and redid my 3 FP+ for that day.

When is your trip?

Also I did book a FP+ reason for Mickey at 4:00pm on a day where we only plan to use our MNSSHP tickets - does anyone think this will mess anything up for me with our regular tickets?

Just to say, if you have your regular tickets & your MNSSHP tickets both linked on your account this shouldn't make a difference. I however couldn't get my MVMCP tickets linked to my account as they were already printed and when I tried this I ended up only being able to make FP+ for another 9 days even though I had a 10 day ticket so make sure you don't want to use them elsewhere. As long as you are happy with giving up a day off your other ticket that is OK.

Has anyone had any luck switching resorts and getting in on FP+? It would only be a $29 difference for me to switch my 3 day stay from ASMu to Pop. But I'd hate to switch and then not get Magic Bands after all.

I did this last weekend and it worked fine (at the 60 day mark too)

I will probably open a can of worms here, but here it is :

Disney has always given Fastpasses for free when Universal sells their express and unlimited passes.

It would be an unpopular move if Disney started to sell FP+ (or part of it, like an additional FP+ slot for a fee)

But what do we see here ?

We see guests, who are eager to test the system, and who "bend" the testing rules by booking one night at a participating resort, just to get the MagicBand and be part of the FP+.
I'm not judging or arguing about those who pay for an extra night at a resort they won't check in into, it's not my point. My point is to say that guests have sent a message to disney, and this message is that some of them are willing to pay for FP+, and they do pay for FP+ right here, right now.
This message is flawed, because of the ability for double dipping, and of course for the hype of getting a MB (it's so frustrating to go to WDW and not being able to get something other guests get)

But, nevertheless, the message stands, and it says that charging a fee for FP+ would be absolutely possible, and if done in the right way, it could even be popular .... go figure .... because right now, some guests are actually paying $100+ to be able to use FP+ ... for a family of 3 the cost of one night at POP to get access to the test is about the same price as a universal express for the family

so I guess anything is possible, but guests have definitely shown disney that "paying" (indirectly) as much as universal was ok for some guests

(once again, just stating facts, not judging or pointing a finger)

I could see in the future Fastpasses becoming a "freebe" when you book a room pkg. w/ tickets thru Disney thereby giving guests a reason to buy their park tickets directly from Disney rather than from a third party like UT.
