I don't either but I bet that they will at some point. It's such a good way to make money.

I hope that I'm wrong.

That will be really upsetting. I don't stay on property anymore b/c I can't not b/c I don't want to.
If that does happen down the road I won't be renewing my APs. You would think having an AP would give you the perk. Ya know??

People still keep forgetting that Disney has publicly stated from the start that Fastpass+ will be available to anyone with a valid ticket, including AP holders, and it's right in the terms and conditions.

People are actually paying for an additional room just to get MBs and FP+?! :rotfl:
Seems very desperate and a waste of $$ to me.

That was my thought exactly. Really??!!! Paying over $100 just to get a MB? That's just ludicrous.

Well, FWIW, I wouldn't do it myself. But it is $100 for up to 4 MBs. And if it allows them to use FP every day of their trip (haven't kept up enough to know if that's how it all panned out) then that price per FP+ entitlement might not be very high at all.

We paid $46x2 rooms to get the colored MBs. CM discounts cut the costs a lot. ;) that was for 6 MB...divided by the amount of days we've already used them (ignoring that we already had gray bands for free LOL) .....the cost per day of use is already under $1 per person and will steadily get to just a few cents over the next few months. Even at a flat cost the bands were just over $15 each which is hardly anything.

Must be a glitch with mine- I do not have MNSSHP tics linked and I only have 6 day tickets yet it let me reserve FP for seven days hmmm maybe I shouldn't do it just to be safe.

Ohh I wish mine had glitched lol! Took me ages to read the message saying "all fast pass options have been selected" on the 11th day I was trying to fill (11 including MVMCP). Serves me right for not reading the red text that kept coming up :rotfl:

Me too. I cannot do my MNSSHP day as we don't plan on using a regular ticket for that day and we only bought for the other days. I'm not purchasing our MNSSHP tickets until we are there in case of bad weather etc. so, oh well no FP+ for that day. Was going to schedule after 4pm then realized it said mine were all used.

I too, am waiting until I get there next week to purchase MNSSHP tix. However, I plan on linking them after purchase, so I can schedule those FP+ the day of the party between 4 and 7.

I received my customizes MB yesterday and today I received an invite via UPS stating I need to customize my MB by Sep 19 for a Sep 29 check in at Pop. Seems that not all the Disney systems are linked. Disney is an entity that has always prided itself on efficiency and customer service. I guess this is why this is still a "test" so that the bugs can be worked out.

Exactly. Cheaper than express pass for Universal. ;) Which, for the week we are going to be in Orlando is $55.95 per person for ONE DAY. We've got 3 people in our party. So, in theory, $168 for one day of express pass at Universal, $130 for 8 days of FP+ at Disney, oh, and we'd each get a groovy MB too.

Not saying that I've decided to do a ghost reservation, but when you look at it like that, it sure does look tempting.

But there's still old FP machines to use. Why spend the $$$? I think they'll be around a while longer- wont they?

True.

I guess they could decide to give everyone 3 FP+ with a valid ticket, and if you want more you could pay for extra FP+. I know I would pay extra if I could buy another 3 FP+ for 6 total.

Ok, I'm admitting right away that I did not read the entire 161 pages of this thread. But from what I have read, am I correct that when I add our Pop reservation at the beginning of our trip we will then be able to continue to use the MB's when we transfer the next day to SSR THV for 5 nights and then POFQ for 2 more nights? (not doing this to get MB, just decided to go down 1 day early because DH wants to go to TL before it closes for seasonal maintenance and DVC studios are all booked for the date)

But no one knows in what way they will be able to participate in FP+. Will they be able to pre-book 60 days out (and 60 days out from what)? Will it only be "day of" for those not staying onsite? If they can pre-book, how many? If it is day of...will they be able to book FP+ for the remaining days on their ticket after first use (so long as it's in the 14 day window...and then what happens with NE tickets)?

I definitely think FP+ will be available to anyone with a valid park ticket just like the terms and conditions say...but I'm really curious to see how it actually all shakes out. I'm sure they already have lots of ideas.

I personally don't want to see them charge for FP+...but it would be nice if pre-booking was limited to onsite guests only as a perk of staying onsite similar to EMH, DDP, ME, etc.

Actually, we do, for at least 90% of guests. (I think the percentage is probably a lot higher than that, anyways.)

Stated right in the terms and conditions, guests with Magic Your Way tickets and Annual Passes will be able to book FP+ 60 days out. It doesn't say any resort stay it required, or staying at a resort changes that at all.

It does state that other classes of tickets might have a different window.

In some cases, some people won't have (real) tickets until they arrive. Once they have them, they will be able to book ahead within the limits of the ticket. I'm not even sure the 14 day window would necessarily be applied - of course, booking FP+ for 16 days after you've first used a ticket wouldn't make sense unless it had No Expiration - but that might be added later.

It would be nice to only those staying on site. :)

But that's not going to be the case.

IF there is some sort of resort benefit (beyond getting colored MagicBands for free), we have no idea what it is yet. There were rumors of getting an additional +10 on the FP+ window similar to dining, but again, no evidence of it.

They could sell/give resort guests additional slots, but I think they have to look at how it gets utilized first. Getting an extra slot isn't necessarily a perk if the only thing available is the Tiki Room or Triceratops Spin.

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm going to go ahead and ask anyway

Is there any reason to NOT put our actual names on our magic bands? I have a few more days until they have to be finalized, and I just put all of our first names alone as the imprinted name (me, DH, DS3 and DS6 months). Is that what everyone is doing, or are you putting nicknames, identifiers, or things like "mama", "dada", etc. I guess I can't think of why it would matter, but sometimes I overlook the obvious and kick myself afterwards for not doing something different :rotfl2:

OK, I'm sure this is the one millionth time this has been asked but hey, long thread here and I'm going to help keep it going... :)

We're staying in Jambo house next month and looks like we have been selected to participate in the program since I've been able to make + selections. So here's my dilemma...

The last time we went we basically just banged out AM EMH and had no problem getting on rides. This time around I'm thinking about just sleeping in a bit, picking a park to hit at rope drop, and then setting + times for a different park that night. Here's the question... do any of you see any reason at all to pay attention to crowd calendars under this scenario? Keep in mind that I will be at Park A at rope drop, we'll likely be there until around lunch, and will then head back to the hotel before park hopping over to a second park where Fast Pass + reservations are waiting.

Cliffs:

1) Selected for Fast Pass + testing in October.
2) Plan to hit rope drop for Park A in the morning and stay in that park until lunch.
3) Go back to hotel for some pool time/relaxation
4) Head to Park B where Fast Pass + selections are made. Will likely coincide Park B selection with either dinner or park-specific show (such as Wishes).

Assuming #1 - #4 are done as described, do you see any reason to really pay attention to crowd calendars considering my plan is to basically avoid that problem through rope drop and strategic PM Fast Pass +?

*Potential Important Note* - This is a two adult no kid trip so rest is sort of just optional for us. ;)

I think it is quite the reasonable approach. If the crowd calendar is extremely low and depending on the parks/attractions, you might not even need to rush to rope drop. Follow the best/avoid recommendations (like do the morning at a park the day after it had EMH, etc.) and it could be very easy...
