I never got an invite for our Pop Century stay coming up. We have magic bands and fastpass+ reserved now though.

They are having issues with my account and they had to add my fastpasses for me, but everyone else in my families I could do online. They say they're working on it and it had to go to the actual website people.
 
Got a packet about MyMagic+, we are at AKV Setpt 7-14 and I am totally confused with all of this. I have alot of reading to do.
 

Checked the website today. Our oct 3rd to 7th reservation at Pop was able to have fastpast+ reservations added. Not sure if I'm missing it but there is no option to customize Magic Bands as far as I can tell.

I just got to make my FP+ for POR October 2-10, but no magicbands for me either, yet.
 
They loaded up the slot times past 9/28 this morning I believe. think they go tough the end of October.

I am staying at AKL Jambo Villas (not using DVC points) from October 26 to November 3.

I have just been able to customise my MagicBand (can't choose a colour yet) and I can not book FP+ yet.

Very exciting :cool1:
 
Just got back last night. For this visit we were fortunate enough to have cast members provide Main Gates (the cast members join us in the parks and can generally bring up to three guests) and e-Tickets (cast members are allocated a set number of e-Tickets) to give to friends or relatives and do not need to escort them through the parks.

For both of these types of tickets right now FP+ is not available. We were however able to link the tickets via the numbers on the back with the magic bands we had (AKL and YC) and could use them for re-admission and hopping just fine.

The same thing happened to me and I went through the process of modifying my online check in and the "personalize magic bands" link was then available. However, my only color option to customize my bands was gray. I spoke with IT and they told me they are still in the process of loading all of the reservation information so give it some time and the color options will soon be available.
 
FP+ was available to me today for my trip 10/15-10/25, staying on rented points at BCV.

However, the website and the booking process are totally rediculously complicated. Why can't I specify up front what times I'm looking for, like the dining website? And then only offer me a few options, which then take another 10 steps to change each one individually!

ARGH! Frustrated after only doing 3 or so days of our trip.

I am in the same boat. Modified check-in and customize magicbands appeared but my only choice is grey.
 
We are set to check in in 8 days and are looking to swap to animal kingdom. This close to check in would we still be able to do the magic bands?
 
We are checking into Pop on October 12th and I have the ability to make FP+ reservations. I started the process and agree with OP that it is VERY cumbersome and takes way too much time. The fact that you can't pick your times is a bit frustrating. I didn't confirm any selections because I need to link my dad's reservation so he can be a part of my "family". My mom's account is linked to mine and I can make FP+ reservations for her but not my dad (who is on her reservation).

At this point I'm really on the fence as to whether I want to use FP+ and/or the magicbands. From what I understand, the only thing the MB will give us is the ability to use FP+. I would be more then happy to use the FP+ system during this testing phase but I am very nervous that we will not have the ability to use the traditional FP system because we are testing FP+. I understand that currently users are able to use both systems but there is no promise from Disney that I will not be locked out of the "old" FP system in October.

Has anyone chosen to do FP+/MB before their recent trip and then decided during their stay that they want to bail on the test and go back to the cards and paper FPs? Will Disney allow this?
 
Just wondering if you have been chosen for magic bands where would it show up on the MDE page? We’re staying at POR in October and I don’t see anything on my page. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip! We have also been able to reserve our FP+ for our
Oct 8-15 trip... I see now that I can customize the bands... can I just put nickname stuff on there and then can you back and pick colors later or should I wait to do anything until I see the colors too??

ETA - do they send you the email for the BOG lunch??

Also, there was a poster asking about Oct trip she had and where to find FP+ on the site... it is off to the right hand side of the screen as long as you are on the MDE part of the WDW site... ;)
