Hi everyone,


I am not sure if this has been answered so I will ask again. We are flying in to MCO in Oct. I was wanting to put my MBs in my carryon bag and wanted to see if anyone has had trouble with airport security,etc. Didn't know if you left them in the box?

If you have MYW package under your resort ressie, then you shouldn't expect to see anything under tickets - correct, or no?

They are supposed to go n your carry on so I highly doubt there will be an issue.
 
Here are a few observations and questions

I've been able to make FP+ selections this morning, check in at POR on 21st october.

first of all, magicband customisation was stuck on the grey color. No color choice.
That might have to do with the fact that I'm from Europe and we don't get the MBs shipped (even though I was prompted for my adress in France)
Question remains : will I get them at home, or will I pick them up at the resort ? and is this the reason why I don't have a color choice ?

FP+ was really easy to pick, but there were very few choices to make
There were days at DHS where I only had the choice between TSMM, ToT, RnRC and Star Tours.
On earlier days there were things like GMR, Muppets and others, but when I reached the selections for november, most of the choices disappeared, except for the E-tickets (or what Mesaboy2 would have ranked as "A")
Q : will other "experiences" be released in the days and weeks to come.

I was also stuck on November 5th with a message saying that I had reached my FP+ limit. I've made selections from Oct 21st to Nov 4th, which make 15 days (incl. 1 day without FP+). In the US system, the stays are limited to 14 nights (15 days) so I guess I've hit that wall. But I have a 21 days ultimate ticket linked and displayed on my MDE account with a 21 nights stay on my POR ressie
Q : is that a glitch, should I need to contact IT ?

I would contact IT as they may have just not programmed in that ticket type yet. They obvious have the 14 day one since in the US they only sell up to 10day ones.

No. You MagicBands will be delivered to your resort. From the FAQs:
Q. My MagicBand has been shipped. How long should it take to reach me?

A. MagicBand fulfillment and shipping should take about 10 days. However, it could be a few days more or less depending on factors such as holidays, weekends and inclement weather.

If your MagicBands have not arrived and your visit to Walt Disney World Resort starts within 3 days, please contact us.

Don’t worry! If you are eligible and you do not receive your MagicBands before you have to travel to Walt Disney World Resort, you will be provided with MagicBands or cards when you arrive. MagicBand shipping is only available to United States addresses.

MagicBands are currently being tested by a limited number of pre-selected Guests. Due to the nature of the test, we are unable to accommodate requests to participate.

Has anyone staying at the Boardwalk been able to order Magic Bands or select FP+? I haven't heard anything about the Boardwalk.

Boardwalk has not been on any list I've seen yet - although it was rumored to be one of the first test resorts months ago...
 
My plot thickens too!
I have yet to hear back from IT via phone from last weekend.
In the meantime, our trip is in four weeks and my DH has FP+ reservations while my son and I don't. Now, I am pretty sure our trip falls in a test and we should not expect FP+, but it is pretty frustrating when one person on our ressie can do it and not the other two.
I went ahead and emailed Guest Relations two days ago, spouting off nicely about how Disney split my accounts, there is no rhyme or reason (hello, DVC points ressie on one account, the DVC affiliation on other; two APs on one, one on the other!) and how due to this, our two upcoming vacations have the potential of having a LOT of issues for us and how I don't find that fair, given this all goes back to them splitting people's accounts without letting them know "hey, don't use username or email anymore, pick one or you will be sorry when you flip flop." (wow, that was one long rant sentence. Breath, Angey!)
Now, I doubt Guest Services got on IT so quickly, but as of yesterday morning, I can now make FP+ reservations for myself, but not my son. I simply copied all of my DH's picks and were able to get them.
This is where it gets good:
Last night, I logged in (with the account our stay in four weeks is on) and saw I could customize all our magic bands. Yay! All SIX of them for THREE people. Let me repeat that ... SIX MAGIC BANDS FOR THREE PEOPLE. Oh, Lord.
So, what I did was pick our custom colors for the accounts that are linked to each AP and then blue for the "other" three, and had to add that notation to my list of what ADRs/DVC memberships/resort ressies are on each of our four accounts. We may be looking extra special for that test in September with our "arms o bands." I'm sure we will be needing those plastic APs and KttW keys for sure!

Just logged onto MDE and the MB option was there to activate along with FP+ :cool1: We are staying at POR Oct/3-Oct 9th.. We only had the color gray as a color option to pick from for our MB colors though:sad1:.....Did online check-in at 60 mark...
 
No. You MagicBands will be delivered to your resort. From the FAQs:

Ghost Reservation Update!!!

The plot thickens!! Being the tech geek that I am, I was puzzled as to how my FP+ access and reservations could vanish when I cancelled my RO ghost reservation and then all of my times and access re-appear when I re-booked my ghost reservation. If everything was deleted when I cancelled, how did it re-appear when I re-booked?

My curiosity got the best of me, so I once again cancelled my ghost reservation. And once again my access and FP+ reservations disappeared. When I logged into MDE clicked on my reservations nothing showed up. When I click on "FastPass+" I get the tired old "Are you ready for the magic" window.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Our Magic Bands are still linked to our account and AP's. Also when I click on "My Itinerary" and select a day from my reservation, all of my FP+ reservations are listed. When I click on any of them, the little window pops up showing all three of us still linked to the fast pass. I can click "Modify FastPass+" in the lower corner and I can still change experiences and times of the FP's if I want.

The only caveat is that Tuesday was our water park day so I did not have any FP+ reservations scheduled for that day. I have not found a way to schedule new experiences for that day, but I am still working on that. I am sure there is a way.

So linking them to ur annual pass seems to keep everything g there? This is what we would be doing. We weren't gonna cancel the pop reason since we would eat the cost this close anyway plus we get the pass holders discount. Just wondered if the would keep working. If I only book a one day would it let me

When I logged in last night, it said to "hurry up" and customize before they are shipped." When I was done confirming my mailing address, I received a message saying they will either arrive at my house or can be picked up at the resort. They wouldn't commit to one or the other.
 
How does this work? How is the FP+ different from an ADR or just walking up for lunch? (Sorry for the dumb question :) )

Ktdid23 the answer might be on the Disney Restaurants boards but here was our experience:
I picked the time 1:30-1:55 or so but did not pre order the meal.
There are two lines outside at lunch, a check-in desk to the left and the stand-by line on the right.
I did not pre-order the meals.
I was able to add a fourth guest at the check-in.
They asked for my confirmation number but were able to find it under my name or perhaps e-mail address.
They send you to one of two queues: one with pre-ordered meals one if you need to select.
The wait time was 5 minutes vs about 30.
 
Are the fast pass options different for everyone ? I don't have options for any Character meet & Greets or things like Wishes or parades ?
 
Is BLT part of the test?? I *think* it was one of the first resorts to be tested, but I'm not hearing anything lately. I'll be there in Oct, if it matters.

Several things are only available on weekends (Illuminations, Wishes). I have been finding that everyday different things are available - more things as testing gets ramped up. Keep trying!
