Any thoughts on point charts for Lakeshore Lodge

Everything you said makes sense to me, but I still think if Disney thought more concierge level DVC rooms were a good idea, we would have seen them (with stratospheric point charts).
It looks like AK is 5 points a day for a studio 10-11 points a day for a 1br.

Much better deal for the studio folk. I wonder why they don't just offer a $120 / day Studio / 1br or $180 2 br concierge lounge option for MMB - tack it on to any reservation. They would probably make money.

Do you mean the difference between points for a Concierge v non-Concierge room in the same category?

I suspect that due to (forget the exact term here) reverse selection (?), the people using it would be heaviest users and you’d need to charge $100/person (or more) for Disney to come out ahead. The Ritz-Carlton does something similar at many of their resorts and I think it’s usually somewhere around that level, and we’ve enjoyed the option on trips where we will be spending a lot of time at the resort. Even if they priced it high, having it as an option would be nice!

Yes, but both rooms only can have up to 4 so its a great deal for a studio but twice the price for a 1br so its is oddly implemented for dvc.

They are basically charging no more than $120 a night for the studio or $30 a person per night if you have 4 - no wonder why they don't expand it at that rate. For cash stays at Poly its usually $200 a night more per studio. And it explains why smart AK owners stalk those rooms.

I think if they offered access on a per person per night rate they could both upgrade it in quality and make it profitable.

I don't care for Hilton/Marriott lounges when I stay for work ( I think I just got tired of them) But I have had wonderful lounge experiences in UAE (Yas Island) and Bangkok where it was about 4x the experience, food quality, and selection of a US concierge lounge.
