***MyMagic+ & FastPass+ Official Information & FAQ Thread***

We just returned yesterday. I was able to adjust and change my FP+ each day without any problems. It didn't seem like the choices were ever limited either. As an example, we decided at the last minute to try ETTWB-I got on my phone and changed my FP+ for 15 minutes later. I was there for 10 days and never had any issues getting same day FP+.

FP+ sounds perfect for the way we travel. It may be a bit more crowded the first week of November, but it doesn't sound like it will be an issue.

Hi everyone. I am having trouble finding the answer to this question. How does fastpass+ work if you don't have magic bands?

What I don't understand is how some people are getting options for Belles story time and parades and fireworks... I don't have those as options at all.

How is it that 2 and under get magic bands when no ticket is required I was able to customize a band for my friends 2 year old, I thought only actual paying ticket got a magic band, is it just for tracking reasons?

I suspect it's just Disney giving a little pixie dust to families.

Sorry, wasn't done! Anyone with child age 1 or 2 (and particularly, if that toddler has older siblings) will be enormously grateful that Disney is providing them, despite their not technically being a need. The 1 and 2 year old set want what everyone else has, and are totally and completely irrational about it. Yes, they might not keep them on; depends on the kid. But I think it's great that Disney is giving them to toddlers. One less nightmare for mom and dad to deal with!

I am able now to make Fastpass+ selections but have not been asked to customise a magic band. Under 'tickets and magic bands' it just shows my annual pass. I wonder if I will be able to use these selections?

Hi everyone. I am having trouble finding the answer to this question. How does fastpass+ work if you don't have magic bands?

Key to the World cards (RFID) work essentially just like MagicBands. You will receive a KTTW card in addition to your band, and you can use it for FP+.

However, so far, you won't get access to FP+ and won't be able to reserve them unless you're part of the testing (you get MagicBands and FP+ as part of the test). So basically, if you don't have access to Magicbands, you won't be able to reserve FP+ either.

In the future, you will be able to use either a KTTW card or your Magicband to do mostly everything (charging, room key, park entry, FP+).

I'm not sure if this is still a technical issue or whatever, but my "Personalize Magicbands" link didn't appear at first until I redid my online check-in. I had already done online check-in before getting access to FP+. Then FP+ became available and I made selections. I then re-did online check-in and the personalize Magicbands link finally appeared. Others reported the same thing.

So if you haven't done online check-in yet, or if you've already done online check-in, doing the check-in (or redoing it) might make the link available.

To this point, I don't think anyone has gotten access to FP+ without also being included in Magicband testing.

Either way though, I would bet that if you're able to make FP+ selections, then you'll be able to redeem them either with Magicbands or KTTW card, as long as your reservations and your FP+ are both linked to your MDE account.

It depends on the day/date. Check back later as certain FP+ experiences are added as it gets closer to the date.

As an example, MSEP and Wishes have not been added yet for any date after September 24th. Enchanted Tales with Belle is mostly available, however, so check that one again.

Thanks! I tried to check in online but it gives an error! Maybe the bands will be at resort! Thanks for response. Paula

I am thinking that one reason everyone regardless of age is issued a MB is because they are reusable for all subsequent trips and Disney will know that 2 year old child this year will be 3 next year and need a ticket. No more cheating the system if you have a small three or four year old.

Another reason I would think is to be able to track the age of the visiting guests to the parks for statistical data

Just like the rapid refill cups Disney has found yet another means to track guests and control leaking profits.

I have the opposite issue! I can customise a magic band, but cannot make FastPass+ reservations for a stay at Pop Century beginning next week.

Any suggestions?

Op suggested checking in online did you try that?

Well I *tried* to...!

I'm having the same problem with that mentioned in thread 3172460 (receiving an error that says 'sorry try again later') - I cannot link to that thread because I don't have a high enough post count!!

Has anyone heard if you can still use the regular FP until the FP+? My understanding is that you could still use both until FP+ was completely rolled out, but my SIL was at DHS today and tried to get a regular FP with her KTTW card(she entered the park with her MB and is testing the FP+) and it told her she wasn't allowed. Anyone have an recent experiences with this? Thanks

Yes if true it's a huge change

No change and no problem here. We have been utilizing the FP- with our key card all week. Yesterday we pulled over 8 FP- each during our day at MK in addition to using the 4 on our MBs. For some reason, almost all the FP- return times were only 30 mins to an hour after pulling while some of the stand-by lines were much longer. It was the most productive day we have ever had at MK! :thumbsup2 If I pulled a FP- that essentially replaced the time on my FP+, I just switched the time and sometimes the attraction of the FP+ at a kiosk. The kiosks are located at Town Square info and by Philharmagic.

Have you used any recently at DHS, seems that was the reported problem park???

Thank you so much for your response, it make me feel a whole lot more relaxed for our upcoming trip. I don't think I've got the best FP+ times so I don't want to be stuck not having any access if the FP+ time don't end up working for us. Quick question. How the the FP/FP+ replacement time thing work? Did it only do it if you pulled a FP- for a ride you already have a FP+ for or did it just replace your time FP+? Thanks again for your help.
