I was able to customize our bands and pick our FP+ but, I'm worried about the Fastpasses. What if we miss our time? I mean, it's great to plan ahead but once at the park, things happen.
Does anyone know if we can still get regular FPs too? Or are we stuck with only the 3 on FP+?
I can see a lot more breakdowns for people if they can't get another FP if they miss their scheduled time. Which happens anyways for normal FP, but you're not only restricted to 3 at that time.

Right now the resorts are still issuing KTTW cards in addition to MBs, in case there are issues. You can still get the old FP with this KTTW card. So no worries.

So, in addition to the bands, we can also get the normal card? I hope that practice is still happening by the time we get there in late October!

I have tried searching the numerous MB/FP+ threads but couldn't find an answer for our situation.

We currently have reservations for 11/30 to 12/7 at POR. However, we can rent a 2 bedroom condo at Windsor Hills for $1000 less. We were planning to switch to the condo until all of the recent changes/additions with MB being expanded to all resorts for November. Now we are questioning the availability of FP- if all onsite guests are using FP+ and especially if resort guests are still able to double dip with FP-.

We will arrive late on 11/29 and had planned to stay offsite to save money and then check into POR on 11/30. If we reverse this and stay onsite one night on 11/29 and then stay in the offsite condo for the remainder of the trip, can we use the MB/FP+ for the length of our 8 day tickets or is it also tied to the length of your resort stay?

Wait a minute, stop everything! PURPLE??? How much of a rumor is this rumor? We are going the last two weeks in October and only have 6 DAYS left to customize!! How jazzed would I be if there was a purple option before then!! (Doubtful I know, but hey, a girl can dream!!)

It appears MBs are linked to resort stays, and FP+ is linked to tickets. But it looks like you need the MB to use FP+ so I would go with your second option. Stay on property the first night to get MBs. If your park tickets are linked to your MDE account, all 8 days of your tickets should open for FP+ selections. This lets you save a bunch of money and still play with the new system. Theoretically.

Slightly OT, but I'm not that fussed about Disney's "preferred" locations for firework viewing. I have my own preferred place for Illuminations, which is just about the perfect view - symmetrical view of all the water-based and low-level stuff, globe nicely visible nearby, no tress - and as it's quite a way back into World Showcase, even on a busy August day I could still get a great place with no-one in front of me 30 mins before the show. I'd take that any time over Disney's chosen area. And no, I'm not telling.

Thanks for the input - I figure if we see it with this fastpass then we can skip it the other two times we are there and do some rides or shopping. Guess we will just play it by ear since i can change the FP that day to another possible soarin....

others have posted that if you miss a FP+ time you can just get another replacement. It doesn't "count against" you unless you actually scan in at the attraction.

Pardon me for asking questions that have likely been asked. My parents have decided last minute to take a trip, so I'm trying to sort out ther details.

They are checking in to POR on 10/18. Will that resort be a part of the testing? I'm linking their reservations to MDE and making all of their dining reservations that way, as well as FP+. Will they be able to take advantage of regular FP at the same time? If so, what are the limitations?

We are staying at POR the same time and we have magic bands. We got them Friday. My friend is coming to. I was able to get all of our fast passes for the same time using MDE.

IllumiNations can only be scheduled as a fastpass + for weekends. If you are looking at a weekday, it won't show up.

As for adding them, yes, you can pick a nighttime show as one of your three FP+ selections, but they are not offered on every date and sometimes may show up on the list closer to the trip. You will just have to check back for them if you are not seeing them.

You must pick them as one of your three selections, you can't add them as an extra.

Is there special seating or something for ppl, with FP+ at the fireworks? I'm not really understanding why you would want a FP for the fireworks.

We are planning on getting our FP+ the same day. I have not read anything or heard from anyone that has said they were unable to do that. I love FP, but we don't visit the parks in a way that makes reserving them 30 or 60 days out reasonable. I would love to hear from people who get to use FP+ if they were able to make same day reservations. We don't visit until November, but we are planning to do FP+ reservations while waiting for the bus/boat to that days park.

Neither do I complete waste of a FP IMHO

Yes, you can change the park so long as you haven't used one yet.
